13/13 - absolutely love it, so unique and simple and "not needing much good art" cool td game, its so simple that it lacks drag'n'drop to change towers instead of reordering from beginning, but overall game is fire i like that this game adds so many less and more unique aspects in the game like getting gold (and crystals) from producing towers instead of killing enemies. another very unique aspects are : - lots of unique towers/enemies (ther are plenty of them + enemies have sizes --> bigger size = more hp and stronger main trait) - day/evening/night per 1 day(round in this case) cycle - weather (frost, storm, wind, heatwave...) AND you can benefit from those weathers too! (if played correctly) - sharpnel number (max enemies that can be damaged by projectile/aoe) - * at later levels (from chapter 5) map is at beginning small/medium sized, and as day(full) passes by, more map uncovers with more gold+crystal deposits and enemy entreances * (EDIT 14:09 20/5/2026) - and the most unique yet so simple - adding burst statistic (how many times towers shoot per shoot - for example with burst 1 mortar shots 1 projectile at a time, but with 4 burst it shots 4 projectiles at a time (and this can be multiplied by projectile count!)) so burst is "how many times it attacks SAME enemy per fire rate" and projectile counts is "how many DIFFERENT ENEMIES are attacked at same time" - * there are more and more unique towers and enemies - some towers are very good (not op!) and you can place limited amount of them (often 4) and enemies, ohh, enemies are so unique also! flat -5/10/20... damage reduction or other way around! --> damage cannot surpass 50/40/30... . its just so unique, so simole, so well made. the only thing i want is more levels (i play main campaign still) and more upgrades - i can see there is 2 more slots for tower upgrades, or maybe in the future even more or even 2nd game??? im hoping so, anyways, extremly good game, and also extremly cheap! definitely reccomend for others and myself, from past, present and future * (EDIT 19:21 21/5/2026 47,2h) yet so simple and straightforward game but so hidden and unseen - chinese developers are really cooking
Minimalist only refers to the graphics really. A great tower defense game that sucks you in trying to beat the levels on harder difficulties. Easy to pick up, challenging to master. Developer obviously doesn't have english as first language or bothered to have someone properly translate, but they've done enough for it to make enough sense. Very enjoyable and challenging all at once, makes for a good game.
This game harkens back to the classic tower defense feel from flash games in the early 2000s. It's focus isn't on massive maps loaded with special effects, interesting sprites, and complex pathing logic. It's a decidedly minimalist approach that wont bog down your PC with stuff that isn't necessary for a good TD game. It opts for build areas and path areas instead of a complex dynamic pathing system where you can create your own lanes. The towers have cooldown timers between placing them, which encourages you to place them strategically and use a mix of different types. The upgrades cost 2 resources while placing a tower only uses 1, which forces you to keep track of what your are doing and what order you place and upgrade your towers. Resources aren't (at least through chapter 1) farmed from defeating enemies, but instead by having to construct and manage Mines. The localization in English is garbage, but the game holds your hand pretty well through chapter 1 so that you can figure things out and get a feel for gameplay. If you enjoy the strategy aspect of Tower Defense this game is awesome, if you want a TD game that plays like a FPS where you can spam down towers late in a wave this one might not be for you. The focus of the game is planning over reaction time. The pace is slow enough to let you keep an idea of what's going on while building and upgrading your towers and mines, but has a 1.5x and 2x speed in case that pacing is too slow for you. That said I can definitely see why some people want a 4x speed, and why that would make the game a lot different to play. Overall I can see that this game isn't for everyone, it has a slower and grindier pacing than American style games. That said I have found it to be a lot of fun and not at all difficult to learn, but mastering it will take a lot of time.
