2026 REVIEW: 7/10 Sure. Monster Jam Steel Titans 1 is a solid Monster Truck game, especially if you’ve played other ones and want something that actually deforms the terrain and leaves tire ruts. Those outdoor areas and the car-crushing arenas can feel great, and freestyle tends to be the most fun and flexible mode. That said, you have to push through the first couple of series, since they feel kind of boring before the better events unlock. The physics can be odd at times, with a slightly tippy feel right out of Cyclone mode. That’s a physics quirk, not user error. It can feel a bit random, but generally the trucks are planted and controllable, especially if you use manual gears and turn off the option that limits acceleration in the air. The credit system is fine and there are plenty of trucks to collect. It’s not a perfect sim, but if you stick with it and get to the stadium events, it can be a really enjoyable, slightly rough around the edges Monster Truck game. Comparing it to monster truck destruction/championship and monster jam showdown it definitely is a great pick up and go game. Plus, It usually goes on offer for a few pounds. Split screen is a nice addition yet I haven't tried it yet. Will continue to play before starting ST2.
