This game rules! Amazing style and atmosphere. Reminds me of Bioshock games for some reason haha (I already saw somebody dub the game as "Biomouse" lol). Gameplay feels really good esp. with a controller. Most similar to Bioshock. Guns are plenty and they feel really satisfying to use. Art is unique and one the best looking games of recent years. No AI ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ here, just good old professional animation. I love it. Bunch of references to modern pop culture. Tomb Raider, Love Death and Robots, etc. Soundtrack is banging and if you love electro swing, this game is going to tickle your fancy. Works perfectly on Linux too!

Look, I really like this game because I'm a huge rubber hose animation fan. It's a good game with some issues, but it's better than most triple-A-style games. The only thing I would say is that the experimental weapons outside of the turpentine weapon need work. The Cold Stream Gun is more of a tool than a weapon, and it taking up a slot in your arsenal seems like a waste. A better weapon could have been something cartoony, like a Big Iron revolver that only shoots one oversized, massive bullet/rocket at someone, and the upgrade could make them smaller ones that together equal the same power. I think the other issue is the revolver is missing in this game, and while I like "mauser", I think you could have taken a lot more liberties with a revolver with the alt being a second ammo type like dumb dumb bullets that talk as you load them in the cylinder, just a thought. Then I would say add the option to make the momentary light button an ads button during combat. It could change gameplay a little but not much, and it would make some of the upgrades make sense for certain weapons. The final two things I think need improvement are incorporating certain cutscenes to transition escapes, because it takes me out of the game when I use a rubber plane, but I don't get to see them. Finally, one is driving. I like the top-down aesthetic, but you could have added a combat level in first person that showed Jack fighting mobsters trying to get back to the headquarters, not saying do it all the time, but near the end would make it more of an event. All in all, I love this, but I think there are some things in the updates that need fixing to make it feel like a more complete standout shooter, beyond its aesthetic.

Here's the skinny see? It's a boomer shooter copying the era of the "greatest generation," real gem of the old soul, got references for everyone. The story is rich like cheddar and the weapons let you put holes in goons like Swiss cheese. The animations are great, the secrets are abound, in story and to collect for background info or to boost your odds in the baseball card game. Whadda doin' reading this? Go play it!

Despite what the minimum specs on the page says, you don't need 6gigs of V-ram to run this, the fact it can run on a steam deck means it can run on much less just fine.
