It's a fun game, but it's not really worth your money if it can be 100%-ed in less than 3 hours. I wasn't even speedrunning or anything. I took my time. I occasionally AFKed, and I completed everything the game has to offer in 2.8 hours. The game has nothing for me to go back to. If I paid full price for this game, I would be upset. The graphics are nice. The minigames are fun. The story is interesting. The main character even has clothing customization. The game heavily relies on reusing assets. The entire game, you'll be looking at the same few assets over and over again. Some parts of the terrain don't make sense. For example, some roads go all the way into buildings rather than stopping. Some terrains were very creative and dynamic, but others looked like buildings were copy-pasted in front of a straight road that goes to-and-from nowhere. The entire game takes place in just ~5 rooms. That's right; if you walk across ~5 different areas, the game is over. Not a single building in the game has an interior. The audio doesn't match the mouth movements of the characters. There are no graphics settings. There are almost no settings at all. Also, the voiceacting of the characters is sometimes incredibly off. It's as though the voice actors were handed their scripts, were given no explanation or context on how to deliver each line, then had their first-try audio recordings used. None of the characters in the game move around (excluding the rabbits and crabs for the minigames). Every character (other than the player) stands idly, repeating the same <2-second animation loops over and over again. Even during cutscenes, the characters just stand idly and flap their mouths. I could definitely see a kid playing this, but I'm sure the kid would be upset when they beat the entire game in one sitting. Like imagine the reaction of a child who asked for this game as a birthday present, and the game is over almost as soon as it started.
There really could have been more. It being made for very young kids those not really excuse just how little there is. It feels like its 1/3 the size it should have been. A child would not be intertained for very long at all. The talking they do is very clear and good for the intended player but the face rigging is unsightly and jumpy. buy it on sale.
My 5 year old girl loves the game. She now wants a game with ponies, fairies, mermaid, or unicorns. This game works good for her. Mechanics are ok she knows what to do and played end to end a couple of time already. Now the problem is that there are not many games like this.
is fun little mlp g5 game, not worth full price tho, only buy when on sale, the only thing that annoyed me was the instructions popups at the start of every minigame with no way to disable them, just every time you go into any minigame there's the 3 second countdown and then an instructions popup which you have to hold a button to close and then you can get to the actual minigame, the menu narration was annoying but you can turn the volume on it wayyyyy down in audio settings so it's fine. (i have 100%ed the game so you can see my playtime for how long that takes)
ABSOLUTELY MIND BLOWING!!! The scenery, gameplay, and STORY was out of this world! I never thought I’d say this……but that twist at the end was more of a shocker than Red Dead Redemption 2. I will say, there were some glitches with the roller blades and the unicorn horn, but man did I feel like the prettiest pony in all of Maretime Bay. Story: 10/10 Gameplay: 9/10 Graphics: 6/10 Plot twist: 1000/10 Overall: 9.7524/10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
