Borderlands vibe Risk Of Rain style Helldivers missions CSGO skins Soundtrack: Banger. Gameplay: Fight fungus crawlies. If you don't kill confirm them, they start combining to form bigger baddies. You start getting really overwhelmed on the higher modifiers. These dudes will always just be standing in your way no matter what type of mission you pick. The weapons and movement feel really good. There's a ton of build diversity with the game's grid system. You basically farm for upgrades for your favorite weapons or character, then you gotta figure out how to fit them in the grid. Also, you have to grind for the materials to unlock the upgrade that dropped. Aesthetic: Absolute cinema. The world building is great in this game. Also, it's goofy in all the best ways. There are posters everywhere to lay out the vibe. The dialogue between characters is sweet. The radio station is 8 hours long (no repeats). The main hub feels grimy but cozy (i love Roachard). There are logs spread out randomly in the world if you really wanna dig into the lore. Conclusion: I'm very happy to support this game and seeing its future updates for content! There's a lot of charm and care being put into it. For 15 dabloons its a steal. Too bad i'll never taste saxitos...

DRG and Helldivers 2 had a child and it's called Mycopunk c: Could use some more enemy variety + missions + better distinction between planetary regions (you can't tell where you are since they look quite similar) but it's EA, so I hope these get addressed with time. Plenty of potential here though.

MycoPunk is the kind of game that grabs you by the face and shouts, “FUN FIRST DAMMIT” Imagine the precision gunplay and thrilling secret finding of Destiny, the frantic chaos and camaraderie of a Helldivers mission, and then wrap it all in a world bursting with charm, humor, and a behemoth of absurd little details. That’s MycoPunk. The progression system is what really surprised me: it’s not just another “+2% damage” treadmill. Every path feels weird and rewarding, and sooner or later you’ll stumble onto a build that is truly your own. That’s rare as hell—and it absolutely rules. And the world… ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I knew I was playing something special when I caught myself grumbling, “Man I'm having a blast fun but this hub music SUCKS.” Then I realized—it wasn’t the soundtrack at all. It was coming from a loudmouthed stupid-ass advertisement robot. The solution? Smack it across the head, watch it run off crying for its mama. First time I did this I laughed and thought the gag was funny but just as I was starting to enjoy the Hub's intended ambient soundtrack it was interrupted again—because right then, I ♥♥♥♥ you not, Roachard, our anthropomorphic roach handler, strutted by with a boombox blasting badass blues rock to fill the gap. 10/10. I love this roach man. I love this game. Brilliant. Addictive. Indeed better than meth (and I don’t say that lightly). If you like games that reward curiosity, reward experimentation, and don’t take themselves too seriously—play this.
