⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easily the best Ninja Storm game. Roster is huge, story mode is a beautiful retelling of the series, gameplay is fantastic with easy to learn and rewarding to master combat. In 2025 this is still THE ninja storm game.

FOR STARTERS: Storm 4 is undoubtedly the best Naruto game overall. It was initially released in 2016 and has since become the best-selling anime game on the market. However, reading this, you wouldn't believe that its development was plagued by budget issues and other problems. And the results? Yes, we can still see them in the final release. And those are exactly my main issues with this game. •STORY MODE Right off the bat, half of the story, which covers the anime's final arc, is told through slideshows with fancy after effects. (Really poor tbh) This is because CC2 (the developer) had to cut MANY of the cutscenes they intended to create in-engine due to time constraints and budget issues with Bandai Namco. So, for most of the story, you'll see scenes cut directly from the anime, and only when the story reached the manga chapters (the anime was in filler hell at the time) did they return to using actual in game cutscenes until the end (which are beautiful). •CUT CONTENT As I said, the game had to cut corners a lot and that means cutting actual gameplay content (like bosses sections) which were originally featured in the first trailers. •THE ONLINE It was always bad. There is no way around it. It has delay based netcode and you will have connectivity issues more often than not. However the fun lies in playing with friends in local multiplayer. That's the best experience. NOW LET'S SEE THE GOOD THINGS: •The bosses are SUPERB. And I mean it. The best graphics and scenes are from the actual boss fights. High resolution and with a lot of variety, it's clear where all the effort and budget went; •It has A LOT of characters. Just choose your favourites because it has so many; •It has a lot of offline modes: VS, tournament, story mode, adventure mode, training, survival mode. You'll have your money's worth. AND NOW THE BEST THING: Road to Boruto is A MUST buy for this game. You know why? Because it incorporate everything good CC2 can do when it has the time and the budget. You have your free roaming story which isn't that long and 99% of the dialogues are voiced. It has high resolution graphics and all the cutscenes have the same quality of the Boss Fights cutscenes. It's incredible if you compare them to the blurry low res cutscenes from the Main Story mode. Overall, this expansion is what the entire main story mode was supposed to look like. The quality is off the charts and you can tell even by the unique UI to this mode. CONCLUSION: Storm 4, even with a lot of problems, is a special game. It was the first to adapt the ending of the manga even before the anime and it nailed it. It has a lot of characters, a lot of offline modes and you will be having a lot of fun. So yeah, I TOTALLY RECOMMEND!

If you grew up with Naruto, this game is pure fan service in the best way. The story mode is emotional and beautifully animated, and the roster is massive. Combat is flashy, fast, and fun even if you're not a hardcore fighting game fan. Ultimate Jutsus never get old, and recreating the big anime moments hits hard. Online can be a bit shaky, but everything else makes up for it. If you love Naruto, this is the "ultimate" way to relive it. Believe it.

Unironically I think Ultimate Ninja STORM, in particular this title, is the best way to experience the story of Naruto Shippuden unless of course you're a Manga enthusiast. CyberConnect really cooked with this game. It's just as much larger than life as the anime but without the boring filler. The visuals are fantastic, the fights are intense, and the finale of the story as delivered by this game is by far my favourite way to enjoy it. All this on top of picking it up for nearly nothing on a Steam sale, it's faultless.
