General Experience I'm a little mixed on Nightmare Knight, but after clearing it I did decide that it was better than my initial impressions. I did very much like the updated UI, as a lot of these RPG Maker games are very clunky. On top of it, the artwork is fantastic and well made. It is easily the game's strongest selling point. I do wish the corruption was done better, and that it actually reflected properly in the story. It's my own nitpick, but it definitely feels rushed. That being said, if you enjoyed other titles within this particular genre, you'll probably like this one, too. I just think it could have done things a little more organically. Adult Content You do need a patch to see the content. While the pacing isn't great, the quality of the artwork is definitely some of the best. There are two forms in the game; high quality scenes that come mostly from the city, and then your character's side profile. More scenes open up as the game goes on, with a lot of them having 3 versions with new artwork and details in each. Falling in battle has only a few scenes, so you don't have to constantly lose to see content. The side profile shows your outfits in the city or enemies that have restrained Rayne, as well as interactions that don't have a dedicated scene. These also tend to include an animated window showing extra details. There's a lot of scenes and you can view them in the memory zone. When you beat the game, you have the option in the zone to unlock everything (including endings). Complaints I mentioned the pacing is pretty poor, and that stems from the "corruption" of the character being pretty rushed (or nonexistent). You're told that the "!" spots will generate a scene, but Rayne generally just goes with the flow very early on and isn't that hesitant to start "saving the people." The loop of being hesitant > curious > open minded > corrupted was not consistent and doesn't translate well in-game. A lot of this is due to being able to "pick" when you explore Rayne's desires, rather than gradually being exposed/corrupted. It's definitely a personal taste, but the slow-burn really adds to the quality of the genre. If you want spank bank material this game won't make you wait long. Overall, the plot and the "side content" feel completely unrelated to each other. Replayability There is a New Game+ mode, as well as 4 endings. If you wanted to, you could replay until you got them all, but you can view all the endings by unlocking them post-game. I would say you will get the most value out of the game by playing normally and then doing a pure run. Achievements No achievements at the time of this review. Technical Issues The RPG Maker jank is less problematic in this title, although it's still apparent (like click to move has horrid pathing in this). On the technical level, I didn't experience anything game breaking. Value By default the asking price is $18, and goes under $15 when on sale. While I recommend the game, I do think you should get it on sale. My reasoning is that it's a decent game with high production value, but there are many "female protagonist with corruption" style games that set the bar much higher. Snag on sale it if you like the genre.

For this price, u'd expect a good translation. 15mins in and i spotted more than 5 grammatical errors. Sure its not so bad as to ruin the game but comparing to other H-games, this one is quite on the expensive side so there shouldnt be any mistakes. How did the proof readers even let these pass, or did they not have a proofread? But everything else is great, the art the game play. But READING is the biggest part of the game, improve pls

damn... this was great i had a pretty good time... gameplay is pretty nice it have good rpg concepts but a bit grindy at some parts... the story branches to two options depending on what you choose but definitely both are very linear... Rayne is phenomenal both in design and character.. shes definitely out of it since the beginning... and overall this was a Great Eroge... wish there were more Phils scenes --- Phils-san was TOP TIER ngl... i understand.... the innocence... it must be corrected.....

Be aware: To get the complete experience, you’ll need the patch. It’s easy to find on the publisher’s website—don’t skip it. I ended up spending more time with this game than I thought I would. The art is beautiful, the soundtrack is surprisingly good, the audio work is excellent, and the erotic scenes are… stimulating. Not overdone. Just enough to make you feel something, without pushing too hard. The story has its moments too—it pulled me in more than I expected. But the combat isn’t great. It gets repetitive, and the grinding doesn’t feel rewarding. I mostly pushed through it. There really aren’t many games in this genre that feel this complete. So if you're already interested, I think it’ll be worth your time. That said, I wouldn’t really call it a corruption game. Aside from the main storyline, it feels more like a story about opening up sexually, rather than being pulled down into something darker. And honestly, the connection with Jay—our supposed lover—didn’t work for me. The relationship didn’t feel real—just… written. Whenever I had to choose between being rational or “giving in,” I went with what seemed reasonable. I didn’t feel much for Jay, and without that emotional anchor, it all felt hollow. The world itself feels much wider than the relationship story ever manages to. If that connection had been left out entirely, I think the game might’ve breathed a little easier. Also, you’ll probably finish the main story before uncovering most of the side content. Thankfully, the game lets you keep going afterward, and there’s still a lot to find. I completed the main storyline around the 20-hour mark, and after that, I went back to unlock every scene, play the mini-games, and go for full completion. I don’t always do that—but here, it felt right. Like I didn’t want to leave anything behind. Your playthrough might be shorter than mine. But even so, I think there’s more than enough here to keep you engaged—at least, it worked that way for me. One last thing: the developer has another game called Melia’s Witch Test , which came out before this one. It features the same character—Mayle—but in that game she’s called Melia. The name difference is just a result of the different publishers. It’s available on Steam, it’s translated, and it’s short—but if this game stayed with you, it’s worth checking out. I only found out after finishing this one, and honestly, I wish someone had mentioned it sooner.

Hear me out. For a 18+ game, I think the quality is above the standard. The developer of this game knew what he was doing when creating the corruption mechanic. It is not a flawless game neither does it have a fantastic story like demon root. However, it is a great game to enjoy and chill with one hand. I'll say give it a try and if it doesn't match your taste. Then, you can go refund it.
