Genuinely incredible. Gave me feelings I've never felt before. Touched on topics and themes so personal to me that I'm struggling to think of *any story* I like better than this one. Made me experience catharsis. I think I understand now what people mean when they say art speaks to them. I can't believe this is only the first of five planned chapters.

this has definitely scratched the itch of mystery writing that I've been looking for for a while, and while some lines of logic did trip me up a bit (the blind system could be a little more present on how much you could be penalized), overall it's tight enough to follow through with some very good cases. excited for the future!

beautifully written from start to finish, takes the moment-to-moment brilliance and ups the scale so astronomically it's hard to even fathom that this would have come after episode 0. unmatched care and attention is put into every single minute detail, every line of dialogue, every plot beat right up to the final half hour which had me so enraptured i could barely contain myself. there is no character quite like Morgan, i fell in love immediately in ep 0, and episode 1 had me falling in love with her every single scene. i could write a dissertation on how astonishingly talented and passionate this team is in every project they put out, and i'm at the ready for what's next. thank you, nth Circle
Simply spectacular
I'm not sure what I can say about this game that others won't have beaten me to. Praise for the art style, the gameplay, the writing, the soundtrack - every aspect here is great, but just ranting about that is insufficient. This game is more than the sum of its parts. It comes together beautifully; Ace Attorney's flow with Danganronpa's flare into a downright beautiful crossbread. But that's all kinda rote still. Just buzz and hype. And having just played Ep 1, I want to try and make this review something more sincere. So I'm going to praise something specific, and I personally really like. Morgan's dedication to her job. I'm used to works that star a defence attorney going out of their way to stress their 'heroic' attributes. They're a defender of the innocent! A champion for what's right! And while that's flattering, it kinda occludes the necessity of the profession. We just see them defending clearly innocent people. They're 'guardians of the truth', right? It feels like in these works, 'defense attorney' has become divorced from the actual job, and is substituted for 'hero'. If one of these attorneys used dishonourable tactics, fans would be shocked! If they represented someone who might be a criminal, they'd be scandalized. The representation's moved away from the actual career and showing why it's so important. After works like that, it's refreshing to see an attorney of an older, truer nature. Someone who bloody well defends their client, and doesn't need to pontificate about the truth or righteousness of that. Calling Morgan 'a cyberpunk Horace Rumpole' is a *crippling* simplification of her character, but I see in her some of what I saw in him. Determination. Bloody mindedness. (Perhaps even principle? We'll see) Drawing that analogy is the highest mark of respect I can give, both to her as a character, and to this game's writing in general. Eagerly awaiting more. If I'm ever in London with my Steam Deck, I'll try to take a picture of the title screen from the Old Bailey.

Very good episode, longer than I would've expected too. Solid character writing, honestly funny, extremely stylish aesthetic, and mixes up the mechanics without switching genres. Heavily recommend it, especially given the price is really cheap.
