delivers exactly what it wants It feels like this was made in a lab specifically for me. Melissa Hutchison breaks my heart once again just like in Telltale’s Walking Dead and honestly also Kane and Lynch even though she doesn't have a huge role in that. It is a futuristic cyberpunk world but it doesn't go for the dark and dingy Blade Runner aesthetic. This felt like it leaped right off the pages of Philip K ♥♥♥♥ or William Gibson. I've seen some call it preachy which I have to admit I did not see at all. Also if you're put off by the idea that this demonizes members of the majority and makes Saints out of every member of a minority that is also absolutely not the case. It explores issues faced by the trans community through allegory and it has what is essentially the equivalent of a transphobe spouting things that we hear them do in real life. Neither better nor worse. The acting is all phenomenal. I will acknowledge that there is at least a little bit of the recording quality that is not as good as the rest of it but I would not say that it was downright poor, not even really below par. As others have noted this is absolutely not a point and click adventure; it merely wears the skin of one and as long as you approach it as a visual novel where you may not get to affect the outcome by choices you make and you're interested in the themes you're much less likely to be disappointed. I certainly never was. There is occasional jank but it's so rare and minor that at most it breaks immersion for a few seconds. The mini games help break up the conversations. I will acknowledge that it is true that this is a second person narrative and I understand why that bothers others and frankly if that is unacceptable to you then yes unfortunately this will not be your kind of thing. It's scary how much this was able to predict being 11 years old by now. Strongly recommended
It's a good game! Not challenging in any capacity, but surprisingly thorough with really solid animation. If you want to efficiently get all endings, I would recommend saving multiple files at once, each aiming for a different ending. I'm satisfied with just having the one, though.
