If you’re looking for a top-tier bus simulator, OMSI Bus Simulator 2 remains the gold standard—even in 2024. However, a word of caution: this isn’t a game for those seeking instant gratification. If you don’t have the time or patience to fine-tune your settings and learn the detailed controls, this might not be the right fit for you. This is not a arcade styled game - similar to other popular games on the market today (Bus Simulator 24, American Truck) But if you’re someone who loves buses and craves a truly immersive, realistic experience with authentic physics and controls, OMSI 2 is nothing short of fantastic. For me, this game has been one of the most relaxing and meditative experiences out there. Sitting behind my Xbox G920 wheel and pedals, I can spend hours cruising through meticulously crafted virtual cities, letting the world melt away as I drive my simulated bus. These days, with a full-fledged career and an engagement keeping me busy, I don’t have as much time to dive into the game as I used to. But OMSI 2 holds a special place in my heart—it’s the kind of game I hope to come back to someday, ready to lose myself in its charm once again.

I've recently bought this game this Monday and it was totally worth it! Despite the bad reviews from this game, I think OMSI 2 would be worth it if you have the right components for it. I'd highly recommend this game to a bus enthusiast who has a compatible device for it! The design, maps and buses are all nice not gonna lie. You can customise the controls whatever way you want them to be! There is a range of settings you can choose to customise for the best experience with OMSI 2! But there are some downsides to OMSI 2 The game can sometimes lag out and can drastically drop your framerate. This is because OMSI 2 is a 32-bit game and only 2GB of RAM is used for the game to function. Luckily there is a solution to that which is by using a 4GB patch. AI vehicles are quite stubborn on some maps. It's both frustrating and somehow... realistic.... Very few parts of the game is in German. Although if you go to settings you'll notice that the game is in English when 90% of it is. Some errors are completely in German and you may need Google Translate in order to know what they mean. Maps with a lot of textures take a LONG of time to load. There's no solution to it unfortunately. OMSI 2 isn't as straight-forward as you think it would be. I found it quite difficult to do various things with OMSI 2 such as installing maps and buses on my first couple of days. But it takes time to get used to the basics of OMSI 2. Apart from that, I'd honestly rate OMSI 2 a 9/10! Totally worth it! mrbusman

-Buy game while in Promotion - I recommend to buy at least this dlcs: OmniNavigation (GPS) and Auxi expansion (Multi-tool to change FoV, Adjust the driver's seat, such as height, set dynamic weather (sun, rain, fog, snow, etc.) more easily, etc.) -Download and apply 4GB Patch -Download MEP OMSI TOOLS (Another tool, to help you install new buses, maps and sync hof with all vehicles with ease) -Download and apply DXVK (DirectX-over-Vulkan), link for the guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2461019058 -Download and install your own mods -Be happy driving in OMSI 2 without much errors or crap performance :)
