Fun button masher with Luffy in it but why God why are the Vinsmokes taking up four separate character slots that easily could've gone to Enel, Kuma, Perona, Moria, Caesar, Magellan, Goku, literally fucking ANYONE but the Vinsmokes? I would've genuinely taken Vander Decken IX over Yonji's bitch-ass.

It's great, But so much is missing form the previous games. 6 characters just flat out dropped. Garp and Kody are DLC and, even then, you're getting young Garp and movie Kody. 15 SPECIAL BOSSES AND AN ENTIRE ARMY TYPE ARE GONE. No pre-New World skins for over half the straw hats. Worse, the relevant skins are right there in the game, but only for the NPC versions of the characters and(except for Kody and Garp) only for their relevant story missions. No East Blue. At all. The only East Blue character, playable or otherwise, is Buggy, and it's a post-Marineford Buggy. No Drum Island. No Mocktown/Skypea. No Thriller Bark. No Impel Down. No Fishman Island. No Punk Hazard. No more Kizuna system; the previous game had a system where you slowly built up a coordination bar with other allied Heroes, which added a MvC style assist to your combos, a passive ability when the bar maxes out(group heals, bombardments, buffs, etc), and, finally, a limit break system where you call on up to 4 maxed out allies to increase the assist to a full on npc combo, enable ally synergies dependant on canon relationships to each other, and a Kizuna Burst, a hybridized multi-man ultimate, complete with a custom name. In exchange, we get(with all the goodies): Two and a half new arcs(a revised and expanded Dressrosa arc, a Whole Cake arc, and a we-finished-the-game-before-the-arc-was-done-so-improvise Wano arc,) for 35 missions, as opposed to the 22 in the last story mode. This would be objectively better, except that three of these are 1v1 missions, and there's no treasure event system to encourage going back and replaying with other characters. An interchangeable set of special moves, instead of moves being locked to skins. Different skins have different defaults, and some even change the class of the character, but you can put any power on any skin. Transformations; I can be an Allosaurus. not only that, I have Special moves for when I become an Allosaurus. Actual Giants; When i play Whitebeard, the normal enemies don't even reach my knees. Big characters are genuinely BIG now, which makes Moria's and Kuma's absence even more disappointing. 19 new characters with DLC, for a total of 61 over the previous 37... yet the 6 we lost(except Kuma and perona) really do stick out like a sore thumb. We traded Eneru for Uroge, Magellan and Caesar have no equivalents(and with the new typings, both would have done well), and Gecko, ironically relevant again since we end with Kaido, is just a cut scene, despite being at Marineford. We finally got an online mode that works! unfortunately, it's hot garbage. y\You and your friend are clearly not fighting the same enemies, there's no way to make a room private, you have to load a mission before inviting a friend in, and at the end of every mission you're booted out again. It is phenomenal how bad the online multiplayer setup is, but at least we remembered to include it this time, unlike the last game's port. Treasure log and special logs: more, and therefore objectively better for this style of game. Where most of your gameplay is gonna be. including new party modes was a great idea, except for the aforementioned hot mess the is multiplayer. No more bugs. the previous game has been abandoned on steam, and the garbage port has multiple Game breaking bugs. This one doesn't, and it's really the major reason to play this over the old game. Unsurprisingly, B/N has simultaneously made an objectively fun product held back by mindbogglingly stupid decisions. is it really too much to ask that we not lose stuff in a sequel? it's good, but even with it's improvements, the previous game just feels more fleshed out. if PW3 were'nt potentially unplayable on steam for some people, i'd recommend it wholeheartedly over this. as it is, I had fun, and i got my one piece fix, which was the bare minimum I wanted from this game, and there were some extra pleasant surprises.

Game is worth playing 100% -Simple controls - Fast Pace game-play -hack and slash -character development -new additional characters in-game since last time I've played -good animation -combat is really good -story mode is good -co-op -great to play with friends online, some mission lets you play with 4, all with 2 - great for achievement hunters not difficult to 100% i have the ultimate and yes it is worth getting, for the amount of content given. i would recommend getting ultimate for more entertainment in story other modes etc. Cons: not much on negative in my honest opinion but.. -online is dead would like to play with randoms. - not cross-play
