I give it a tentative "upvote" - this game has almost no competitors (Metal Detecting games don't exist, except for one which is not updated since 2020), but is still in need of massive polish and gameplay overhauls. I like the premise, but it's not finished. It can be so much more, but is in need of a lot of tuning. My main gameplay gripes are: 1. Hunger and Thirst are pointless systems, they add nothing to the game. Remove them. 2. Shovels having durability feels restrictive and another pointless resource management objective. There's no way to even tell the shovel's durability; no hud element of any kind. 3. WD-40 and Wood restoration are exhausted way too early for the price to purchase the chemicals at, also no way to tell the uses left in either. 4. Books are arbitrary - why not just let me buy the book to "learn" the items so i can click on them in the field or at home to properly understand what an item is without having to look for "the correct book"? 5. No explanation in the tutorial what the purpose of a crate/box is. 6. No explanation in the tutorial that artillery shells, helmets and other misc items are "constructables" like guns. 7. The loot system in this game does not seem to make much sense when the car is at one corner of the map, and your backpack can't store any large items, so you have to run to the car and run back - multiple times a run. 8. As above, if you want me to walk around the map, the run speed has to be WAY faster than it is now, easily 2-3x faster. 9. Auctions suck. There's no rhyme or reason to their price increases, when the game decides to spend 210$ on a locker filled with junk when you walked away once it hit 100$? And the game just has infinite money, since every single unit goes into the hundreds without fail. It's not an auction as it is a roulette wheel on how much the game wants you to pay for a lot. I love the concept, hate the implementation. 10. Crates are worth 0$ to sell in the market? Am I missing something? 11. Aspen is ignored very early on given the map has very low quality loot, and shovels only have so much uses before they break. Begs to question why Aspen is even in the game at that point. 12. No way to tell if an item is "beyond repair", only when attempting to use a chemical on it. 13. Lack of a checklist to determine what you currently have at home to sell dupes 14. The only main restoration of "beyond repair" items is locked behind a $200 gate... 15. Selling of items in the market makes no sense - why have two market stalls? Why not just have one? What would be the point - punishing new players for not reading "We buy militaria" vs not seeing "We buy anything"? What I would love to see in this game in the future: 1. Expansion into coins and other collectible items of some kind. Infrastructure's there, might as well! 2. Other wars and conflicts (of course) 3. Without needing to strictly adhere to explicit militaria, finding prototype or low production weapons in the field can be cool. Digging up a G11, lol. 4. The ability to use the weapons/gear in some firing range or what not after obtaining a fully assembled version of it. 5. Further to 4., ammunition itself being a possible metal detecting item - itself to be refurbished for use at the range. The 5 mosin-clip already exists, let us use it! General polish I would love to see: 1. The maps having a bit more variety than "Tree & Dirt". Ardennes did ok with the singular trench in the middle, but a bunker or something would be cool. 2. Menus need a small delay of feedback to properly make it seem like the menu is "reacting" to your input. 3. Improved model fidelity 4. The house to be massively expanded and to be an actual warehouse where things can be sorted 5. Control jank to be ironed out, massively. Don't really know why i need to use the arrow keys to rotate an object. If i think of any more I'll add it on.

I agree with the review about where gameplay needs improvement but this game aggressively tickled my autism enough to still enjoy playing especially since I collect militaria irl

Pretty good game. Tab to open inventory doesn't work though so it gets a little annoying running back to your car every time you wanna swap between the shovel and metal detector but i forgive the game since it came out an hour and a half ago. I also don't think everything needs to have limited use. I get WD40 running out but a shovel breaking after a day and a half of work? Still a good game that needs work. It's a little sad that the maps just have a white void on the edges of the play area. I honestly would rather have invisible walls than an instant drop off. All in all it needs work but it's fun and that's all that matters.

The game is fun i know it just came out but i wish there was more of an introduction to the game and i hope they do add more stuff to this game in the future because i really like this game and its concept but overall its decent right now
