Paper Dolls 2 is a first-person psychological horror experience that leans heavily into atmosphere, cultural mythology, and slow-burning dread rather than overt action or constant jump scares. Developed and published by Beijing Litchi Culture Media Co., Ltd., the game serves as a direct continuation of its predecessor, drawing players back into the decaying and cursed Yin Mansion. From the very beginning, the tone is oppressive and somber, immersing players in a world shaped by grief, memory, and supernatural forces. Rather than relying on cinematic spectacle, the game chooses to unsettle through silence, shadow, and a constant sense of being watched. The narrative follows Yang Mingyuan, a father tormented by disturbing dreams and driven by the desperate need to uncover the truth behind his daughter’s disappearance. Storytelling unfolds gradually through environmental details, written notes, ritual objects, and fragmented memories that surface as you explore deeper into the mansion. The game places strong emphasis on traditional Chinese folklore and spiritual beliefs, which gives its horror a distinct identity. Ghosts, rituals, and cursed artifacts feel rooted in cultural context rather than generic horror tropes, making the experience feel both unfamiliar and authentic for players accustomed to Western horror conventions. Much of the emotional weight comes not from explicit exposition but from implication, allowing the tragic history of the mansion and its former inhabitants to emerge organically. Gameplay is deliberately slow and methodical, reinforcing the vulnerability of the protagonist. Combat exists but is limited and often feels secondary to avoidance and careful planning. Most encounters with hostile spirits are better handled through stealth, timing, or puzzle progression rather than confrontation, which keeps tension consistently high. The mansion’s layout encourages exploration and backtracking, with locked doors, hidden passages, and symbolic barriers that gradually open as you acquire key items. Puzzles range from straightforward environmental interactions to more abstract challenges that require close attention to symbols, cultural motifs, and subtle visual clues. While some puzzles can feel opaque or demanding, they reinforce the sense that you are navigating a space governed by rules beyond logic alone. One of the game’s strongest elements is its environmental design. Yin Mansion feels like a character in its own right, with creaking floors, flickering lights, and oppressive darkness working together to create constant unease. Sound design plays a crucial role here, using distant footsteps, whispered voices, and sudden shifts in ambient noise to keep players on edge. Moments of silence are just as effective as scripted scares, allowing your imagination to fill in the gaps. Visually, the game balances realism with stylization, presenting detailed interiors that feel lived-in yet corrupted by supernatural influence. The use of lighting and shadow often obscures what lies ahead, forcing players to move cautiously and heightening the fear of the unknown. Despite its strengths, Paper Dolls 2 is not without rough edges. Movement can feel sluggish at times, and the pacing occasionally falters when players are unsure of their next objective. Combat encounters can feel clunky, especially when dealing with aggressive spirits in tight spaces. Localization issues also surface from time to time, with certain clues or notes lacking clarity in English, which can add unintentional difficulty to puzzle-solving. These issues don’t completely undermine the experience, but they do require patience and a willingness to adapt to the game’s idiosyncrasies. Ultimately, Paper Dolls 2 is a horror game best suited for players who value atmosphere, narrative ambiguity, and cultural storytelling over fast-paced gameplay or mechanical precision. Its strength lies in its mood, its setting, and its commitment to a specific vision of psychological horror rooted in Chinese folklore. For those willing to immerse themselves fully and move at the game’s deliberate pace, it offers a haunting and memorable journey through grief, memory, and the supernatural. While it may not appeal to everyone, particularly those seeking constant action or polished mainstream design, it stands as a distinctive and evocative entry in the indie horror landscape. It doesn't really fix the issues of the previous game or rise above it in any big way, but if you had fun with the original, you'll likely have fun with this one too.

OK Game....play on easy though, any other skill level is virtually impossible to advance in the game. Also the save system is totally screwed up. Every time you re-start the game the only choice Available is choose new game (E) Then after the new game finishes loading you have to press escape and choose "load" in able to continue the game where you last saved.... Please install a patch to fix this issue DEV's

100 points. 100 points are not enough to rate this game 😭😭 After completing P1, no waiting that I played P2, and P2 brought me a lot of immersive and deep experiences. The Hard Mode ate it definitely, I already died at least 40 attempts to complete the whole game because of hard challenges and annoying puzzles. But generally I feel satisfied when I finally found out how to solve the puzzles and kill those fucking bosses, I didn't feel frustrated at all but I felt excited instead. Release the P3 now pleaseeeee
