I love this game, it feels like something you remember seeing on newgrounds in 2007 in your schools computer lab while your teacher struggles to come to terms with their ever aging body.

OK... The Devs behind PAPERHEAD definitley understood the assignment! This is by far one of the best BOOMER SHOOTERS ever made. Its got a horror vibe and does it surprisingly well with the art style this game went for. Ultra fast combat and move set... brutal and pretty gory and A STORY ! This game is the full package and highly recommend it to anybody out there looking for a great shooter that doesnt take itself too seriously. Its a good time for sure. Game ran great and did not encounter any bugs or technical issues of any kind. Hopefully we get a sequel and some new IP's from this dev... they got talent!!! 10/10

I'm 4 hours deep Its the original DOOM, but with a white monster, a hit of nicotine, and the dopamine receptors of a 26 year old gambling addict betting on a black market MMA match. You'll be dropping L0gz harder than my GPA. P4p3r/10 would recommend

TLDR: This is such a good game, that I'm disappointed the scale wasn't bigger. The game is only about 4 hours on a casual playthrough, with only ~9 real levels. The art, story, music, and gameplay are all among the best in the genre. This is the best movement shooter that I've ever played in regards to gameplay. You go at such a fast pace, and the game provides ample methods to continue increasing your speed. Most importantly, you don't need to spend time watching youtube videos, and practicing movement tech to feel like you're going at a good speed. All of the weapons feel good to use, and none of them felt completely superior to any other option. I found myself actually using the full arsenal. There are also elements of very minor puzzle solving, I almost wish these weren't in the game, as they're less puzzles and more of click the draw/erase button, definitely the weakest portion of the game whenever they come up. The bosses are also incredibly weak. All four of them are functionally just bigger versions of the enemies you've already faced, and don't have any special mechanics or tactics required to beat them. The art is incredible, just watch the trailer and you'll get an idea for how everything is stylized. The level environments really do justice to the cardboard aesthetic, and making the levels feel unique in the constrained setting of an underground lab is incredibly impressive. The sound design is also among the best in genre, they know exactly how to use their music and SFX to switch the tone from "I'm the strongest being alive" to "Oh anything around the corner is going to kill me". The story/lore is interesting, and it did a good job of making me curious on what was going to happen next. Unfortunately, due to the length of the game, I found myself wanting significantly more then the game provided. That's really my biggest issue with the game, the structure of the game is as follows, you have one actual level. This is where there are enemies and puzzles and platforming etc. These are around 10-20 minutes each. Then you have a lore level, these are typically around ~2 minutes each and it's where you read notes and have characters talk to you. This structure repeats over the games 18 levels, so of the 18 total levels, only 9 of them are really playable levels. The way the story of the game is structured, this would have been a perfect "first act", but instead the game just ends. And the next part of the story takes place in a cutscene on the credits screen. I found that incredibly disappointing, however it's only disappointing because I wanted to play more. This is an incredible game and if you are at all interested in movement shooters then you need to pick this one up.
