Whilst I do recommend this game, particularly to those looking for a Firewatch/Twin Peaks/Alan Wake vibe, it is not without reservations. Radiolight starts out really strong, creating a sense of foreboding as you approach the park. You feel in the shoes of the investigator as you start looking around, hunting for clues, and going deeper into the forest. The eeriness and isolation is really striking, with the superb voice acting and well timed twig snaps being a large contributor to this. As the game goes on, I feel the story becomes a bit sprawling, and my enjoyment and investment in it began to wane. The game introduces a lot of different concepts, and I found it made it hard to focus on any particular goal. The environments are superbly crafted in the main, but some elements just felt out of place. I found that the non-player characters were comical and inconsistent in appearance. Firewatch handled these horror elements well, and maintained the faceless, nameless protagnoist(s) that made the game so creepy. I can't help feeling Radiolight would have been better off following suit. The ending for me proved a great source of frustration; I almost gave up and watched it on YouTube. The gameplay mechanics could definitely be tweaked here to reduce friction and repetitiveness. The game also leaves a lot of questions unanswered. In Firewatch, we get a sense of closure in the most part, however I don't get the same from Radiolight. There are many loose ends, and whether intentional or not they left me wondering what exactly I'd been doing for the past 3 hours. Whilst this game is not without its faults, it's truly incredible that this was the effort of a single dev, and they should be proud of what they have achieved. It's definitely worth playing. I look forward to more games from them in the future.

Loved every single moment of this game. Like many others have said it's kind of like a horror version of Firewatch with a much darker atmosphere. Was extremely creepy at times and I really enjoyed slowly discovering the mystery on what was going on. It's a pretty short game but I think it works perfectly since it stops the game from ever feeling like it overstays its welcome. That said, I was left wanting more after the credits rolled. Highly recommended if you like spooky walking sims with an intriguing story and creepy atmosphere.

This was a very story compelling game. I really enjoyed it, and it was good. I did get stuck in a hole, so if anyone reads this, please do not jump in any holes otherwise, you will have to start the game over.

I played the demo a while back and knew I had to get the full version. And I'm glad I did, it's better than I expected. I love the Firewatch like art style and the atmosphere of the forest at night...there realy is something peaceful about the silence that comes with it. To be honest, I was expecting some obvious ending, but the game surprised me. Most of my theories midgame were wrong, it was really refreshing to see a thriiller that doesn't follow the usual beats. Everything fits together with the radio really well and you can follow the story on your own pace instead of having everything dumped on you. For solo-dev to pull this off is actually really crazy and I can't even image how much time was spend on this. If you like atmospheric thrillers with something different, definitely try this one. 10/10 would recommend.
