If you are looking for a game where you suspect everyone and feel like everyone is watching you, this is the one for you. Dahlia View is a detective narrative adventure game set in the 1950s, centered on a missing child in a very quiet and beautiful neighborhood. As a retired detective, Mr. Conway felt obliged to help find the little girl, even while the police were working on the case. His daughter Catherine warned him and begged him multiple times to leave it to the police, whom she was working with, but being stubborn and even confined in his wheelchair, Conway didn't stop. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3738969757 The gameplay has multiple sections. First, you need a lead, and of course, Conway can't walk around, so he'd use his camera to snoop on his neighbors by zooming in and taking photos of what they are doing. After that, he'd wheel himself down to have a chat with them or, well, break into their houses to look around. The questioning is fun. You have to listen carefully and use keywords that'd help you with your investigation board. Take photos of everything you think might be evidence against them. Concil your journal all the time to know what to do next. If you miss anything, you can start any section after beating the game to collect what you've missed; all evidence, profiles, and collectibles are carried over to NG+. I liked the voice-overs, although Canway is a soft-spoken man, and got on my nerves multiple times, but they did a good job capturing their personalities. The soundtracks are more on the suspense side, which adds layers to the game, but the overall sound needs some adjustment. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3738969628 As much as I loved the story and got me hooked, I hated the puzzles, especially the lockpicking, and my god, how many of them are there as you are snooping around. I hated them passionately and wished there were an option to skip them, or at least an achievement for solving them, because, well, it IS an achievement. You can change the puzzle settings to make them easier, but I played in the default mode. The controls were buggy at first, but I got used to them with the mouse and keyboard; however, I had to use the controller to find the sweet spot in the lockpicking puzzle and hold down the trigger buttons after finishing the maze. I'm still not over them, but thank god everything else in the game is good. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3738969675 I liked the graphics a lot. Dahlia view looked so beautiful, especially when you are using the camera to look around. The buildings and details are very beautiful, and the characters' interactions and designs are unique; you can tell each character's personality from their look. Pros: +Interesting suspense story. +Well-done voice over. +Good graphics and atmosphere. +Choices and questioning. +Confronting characters. +Evidence board. +Helpful journal. +Collectable. (Stamps) +New game plus to get the rest of the achievements (Not collectible mode) +Steam achievements. Cons: - No manual save. - Buggy controls. (There is an option to change it in the settings; it will work out better than the default) - Unskippable frustrating puzzles (You can change it completely from the settings for an easier one) - No option to skip previously seen cutscenes when you load the game the second time.. If you change the settings from the beginning, you will enjoy the game. The story is really good and intriguing, and if you don't care about the puzzles, you can always adjust how they're solved in the settings. all before you start the game and become frustrated. πΉπ‘œπ‘Ÿ π‘šπ‘œπ‘Ÿπ‘’ π‘Ÿπ‘’π‘£π‘–π‘’π‘€π‘  π‘π˜©π‘’π‘π‘˜ π‘šπ‘¦ π‘π‘’π‘Ÿπ‘Žπ‘‘π‘œπ‘Ÿ π‘π‘Žπ‘”π‘’ [url=http://store.steampowered.com/curator/32399565/]πΉπ‘’π‘’π‘›π‘Ž'𝑠 πΆπ˜©π‘œπ‘–π‘π‘’ [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/32732116-IndieGems/] Follow IndieGems for more reviews like this one.

Sensitive game, very British (in America we have this thing called the fourth amendment.) But aesthetically pleasing and thoughtful.
