With the last update the game fells much better, the champion talents give varied gameplay. I compare this game with Ravenswatch gameplaywise and i love it. The loot system paired with the dificcult settings is a great touch, great early access with the last update, keep going devs!!
Coop is not working and the negatives reviews due to this are justified since it is advertised as such, but people complaining about bugs on a day1 early access game review are being silly Some reviews comparing it to Shape of Dreams. Have we forgotten what an early access release is supposed to be? Not fair to put it against a full release The game has massively improved in just a few months. If you want a polished 1.0 release be patient and wait for it. If you buy in a developing product set your expectations accordingly. In my opinion this is the best looting roguelike so far, the potential is massive and the devs seem very committed Let's hope they keep going
I saw a youtuber playing this game and it looked great, not going to lie, I was a bit hesitant when I saw the mixed reviews. After reading them I realized most was due to the game needing to be online and problems with trying to play with friends, so I picked it up since neither are a big issue with me. Now time for the review. I first want to say, that I really don't think people understand how early access works. Trouble playing with your friends sucks but give them time to fix the problem. The game literally came out yesterday. By giving it a negative review because of stuff they haven't even had a chance to work on is dumb and hurts the game and developer in the long run. So far as an early access game I have loved my time I have put in. Imagine Diablo looting with your playable character feeling like a MOBA champion. You clear rooms and after you clear the room you get a choice of possible rewards. Tons of gear to get and upgrades to unlock. Is this game perfect? Not hardly, but the time I played it I didn't have a single game breaking bug. Played 3 of the 4 characters and cant wait to play it again. This game has huge potential and I can't wait to see what the developers have in store for the game. Don't let the negative reviews from people who don't understand early access and have only played the game for less than an hour prevent you from giving this awesome game a try. Also it's only 20 bucks which I feel is a great price point.
Pretty much all of the negative reviews right now are because multiplayer's a bit wonky, and the devs are saying that fixing that is a priority, so I'm gonna ignore it in this review. Game feels great, is a lot of fun, has a ton of run variety and lots of potential for expansion. Strong recommend for singleplayer, and will be cool with multiplayer at some point!
The good: - Solo play works like a charm. - Progression is well done. - Combat system is smooth. The bad and the ugly: - Co-op/multiplayer is not in a good state, it's not even in an ok state. If you are looking to play solo, it's definitely worth it. If you are looking to play with friends, you're probably best waiting for the multiplayer issues to get sorted out.
