I've played a lot of weird games over the years but RATSHAKER gotta be one of the most absurd games I've come across. Basically its a psychological horror walking simulator with a twist of the mechanics. Shake the rat, choke the rat and so on to activate stuff or enter for example doors. Initially it seems like a comedy game due to the cartoon style and the crazy rat screaming while you shake and choke it but surprisingly enough it develops in to a pretty dark and grim tale that I wont spoil here in my review. Apparently it was the highest rated game on Steam in 2024 at 95% and at its base price of 2,99€ I think it's a cheap gem of a game that people definitely should give a try for its originality.

You know, I think most horror games could be improved by having the option to pull out a quippy little cartoon rat that you can shake around, use as a light source, or just hold there. This game lets you do all three of those things, so...I mean...there's rat that.
