Some games are ones you delete after you finish them. Some games are ones you remember even years later. Resident Evil 4 falls into the second category for me. When I first started playing, I thought I was just going to play a high-quality remake. But as the hours passed, I realized that Capcom hadn't just revamped an old game; they had brought back to life a legend that players have loved for years. The atmosphere is incredible. From the moment you enter the village, you constantly feel pressure. You don't know what's around the next corner, you're not sure if you have enough ammunition, and you always feel like something is going to go wrong. That's what makes Resident Evil 4 special. Leon is fantastic as always. His more mature and experienced self adds a new depth to the story. The side characters, boss battles, and unforgettable scenes have also been meticulously recreated. The gameplay is addictively good. You think, "Let me play one more level," then you look at the clock and it's midnight. The combat is fluid, inventory management is still fun, and the knife mechanics add a whole new flavor to the game. But what impressed me most was this: This game reminded me why I love video games. It gave me an experience where I didn't have to constantly follow quest markers, waste time on unnecessary things in an open world, and was simply immersed in a well-designed adventure. Many games today strive to offer larger maps, more content, and longer gameplay. Resident Evil 4, however, chooses to simply be fun. And it does it almost perfectly. If you've played this game before, it will remind you why it's a classic. If you're playing it for the first time, you'll understand why everyone has been talking about Resident Evil 4 for years. Some games are the best of their time. Some transcend their time. Resident Evil 4 is one of them. ✨ "The game was great. The memories it created were even better."

Resident Evil 4 is a masterpiece, but honestly this review is for the Merchant. No idea why he’s there. No idea how he keeps getting there before me. No idea why he has a rocket launcher in his coat. But every time I see that blue flame and hear “What are ya buyin’?” my blood pressure drops. He doesn’t question anything. He just buys ♥♥♥♥, offers advice, sells guns, cheers you on at the shooting range, and somehow feels like the safest person in Spain. 10/10. Capcom, please bring back the Merchant in a future RE game. I’ll buy it at a high price.

Came for nostalgia, stayed for getting roundhouse kicked emotionally and physically. The villagers are still unhinged, and the merchant is still my favorite shady uncle. 10/10 game 3/10 babysitting experience

"You'll get some bang for your buck, I guarantee it." Capcom pulls out the biggest d*ck in their inventory, remakes and retunes it for this generation and it's easily one of the best survival horror games you can play today. Regardless whether you were a fan of the original or not, there's something here for everyone to scratch their itch when it comes to both horror and action. - RE Engine makes everything look creepier and more immersive than ever before, with the lighting being what really shines and makes the world come alive in multiple ways - Some gameplay kinks have been worked out and other quality-of-life tweaks have been added, movement & gunplay is streamlined to fit today's standards and it just feels right - New flashy cinematics + rerecorded voice lines along with some new ones, they toned down the cheese and made it a bit more mature, Leon still serves up those priceless one-liners though Great job by Capcom once again, and that price tag makes it even more worth it to enjoy the series' most accessible entry in a new way.
