it's fun and bad sometimes but fun but i wouldn't recommend it unless you get it for cheap! just get the original, ludicrous edition or og with a source port, the original is better! also the mp40 in this game is really weird, the original has the proper mp40

On a solid sale, this game is more than worth it...and I would say that without getting it on big sale, I think I could still recommend it overall, if boomer-shooter type games are your thing, or you want a bit of nostalgia like me. The various rocket launchers are fairly available around the maps, and are quite awesome to use, a lot like how I felt with the original, back when I was a teen, playing it in awe all the way through. I was an original Doom kid too and still enjoyed the original a ton. I know some people just didn't like, it, but games like this has always been a big part of my youth and up until now, here and there. A lot like the original, this newer version is a bunch of mindless shooting and blasting and "ludicrous gibs" gibbing the hell out of the Triad b@$tards! The main gripe is that the saves are so far apart, it becomes annoying when it is fairly easy to die in certain areas and with hazards/traps that just get you so quick. I love to get in and play these games to progress, with not a lot of extra time dedicated to playing whole sections over and over at times just because the save points seem at times to be so far apart. I don't find V-sync option either and that would prevent some tearing in the visuals, but it's not a huge problem. Anyway, still quite a blast...literally/virtually a blast. I also hope to find a way to play this eventually in VR with UEVR mod, and should be, I assume. I just haven't gotten into UEVR mod yet.

A good game, but not as good as ludicrous and dark war. There's some minor annoying jank, collision messes with you a lot, and has no controller support for Dualsense?

it's a pretty cool shooter if you have nothing else to play. The guns feel good to fire, the soundtrack is amazing. You should get it if you like old school shooters like doom or quake
