A certain media outlet gave this game a 6 because "It'S ToO SiMiLaR tO tHe BaSe GaMe" Yeah right, the main game was fun, I wanted more. This is more like a sequel than a DLC. I don't want to play those $70 games where I clear open world maps littered with '?'s, I don't want to play loot shooters where I had to grind nonstop, I don't want to PVP other people in an arena, I don't want to pay for cosmetics in a battlepass.... I just want a simple 10hr linear on-rails shooter like the old good days, where I can immerse myself in fun gameplay through a curated cinematic experience. Both the Rogue City and Unfinished Business deliver on what I want. The price is cheap, the graphics is great, runs about the same as every other UE5 game using Lumen but you can turn it off for more performance. Support AA games; support smaller devs; support gaming, period. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit after finishing the game This game is more action heavy than the base game, it's basically 7hrs of demolition with 1hr of story talk quests sandwiched in between. It's just the right length for a Doom style game that doesn't overstay its welcome to become repetitive. Performance wise, I never personally experienced any crashes, maybe because I have a monster PC. I did experience a lot of micro stutters transitioning between areas and this really shouldn't happen since the rooms are not that big. Thankfully it doesn't happen in combat after you've entered. The autosave also has very random timing and there was one time I had to replay an entire area. These are small issues the devs should be working on. On the good side, I appreciate the game supports DLSS4 MFG from day 1 and it's been working perfectly. I definitely got more than my money's worth playing this game.

We want next game from Teyon be a Dredd game? We get a HUUUUUGE homage to 2012 Dredd with Carl Urbam. Huge megestructure, captured by higly organised crime band, death machine that brings JUSTICE AND DEATH to all criminals. Some episodes in first third of the game are even more references, in gameplay and music. Meantime it is still game about Robocop and a descent successor to the main game. Big enough, have few peaceful episodes with side quests and helping citizens. Also some bugs. Several time I got stuck on investigation screen because one clue just doesn't get in count. And I needed to replay 10-15 minutes, because another con - autosaves sometime are too far away from each other. Also get several UE crashes during the game. Overall - excellent standalone. 8/10.

If you asked me if I had more fun playing this game or Doom Eternal, I'd be hard-pressed to answer. It's so metal. And I don't mean that in just a dad joke way, it is absolutely rocking and the developers put a lot of love into it. Highly recommend. Now we need these devs to do a Judge Dredd game and my life would be complete.

So the biggest critique I'm seeing of this game is that it's "more of the same"... ...more Verhoeven movie vibes, more simple, fun and explosive FPS gameplay, and more shooting bad guys in the nuts! I'm all in. Happy all the cool people left AAA as the dweebs rolled in so they could give us AA gems like this!

reject AAA, embrace AA If you are having a bad day at work remember this guy. He died at work. Only to be resurrected and continue to work. They should definitely make a Judge Dredd game next.
