Title: A solid and relaxing incremental game with a steep achievement grind Review: Rocky Idle is a highly enjoyable and easy-to-understand incremental game that is perfect for playing in the background. The progression flow changes naturally the deeper you get into it: the early stage requires relatively active play since everything moves quite fast. Later on, it shifts into a true idle experience where you can comfortably let things run for 24 hours of offline time. The game offers a lot of variety, though the pacing varies. While the standard quests require moderate activity, the numerous contracts (Aufträge) demand a very active playstyle, which is why I am choosing to save them for later in my playthrough. My only real critique lies in the achievements. Currently, they require an excessive amount of time to complete—I am estimating around 500 to 1000 hours of playtime. In my opinion, this is a bit overkill and feels unnecessary, as it stretches far beyond what feels like the game's natural limit. Despite the heavy achievement grind, the game itself is a very solid experience. For the price, it is absolutely fair—especially if you pick it up during a sale. A great addition to any idle game collection!
If you want to play this game ACTIVELY, you will be sorely disappointed. The first while, you can play actively, but after about 10 hours, you will be required to NOT play actively. It's slightly frustrating, but honestly, it's just a afk grinder and it's pretty good. For a 8$ game meant to NOT be played, it's fun. I definitely recommend this game for anyone who enjoys checking in on a game once a day, before closing it for 24 hours. It's a 5 minute a day game. Edit: Would like to make my final conclusions on this idle game. It's a idle game, so expect as much. Once you reach lvl 80-90 across the board, the game becomes a grind. Not to say that's bad, but it's a struggle to continue idling this game. I set up a few automation scripts to run in the background to help with automating the boosters every 10 minutes. I let it ride for... hundreds of hours, and I only have a few skills up to 100. That's wild. It's a fun little idle game, with so much in common with other similar titles, yet I feel no satisfaction whatsoever, cause the grind is just impossible. Honestly though, 350 hours for a 10$ title is a pretty nice deal. Even though I will likely never max out, it's like Melvor, but you'll never see the light at the end of the tunnel.
