Riot Forge having been shut down is a real shame. We may never see another standalone experience like Ruined King set within the League of Legends universe. Even if you're a complete newbie, the game brings its characters to life in ways actually greater than the way they've been portrayed in League itself. The dialogue is thoughtful and the visuals really strike a chord, while the turn-based combat is seemingly somewhat trivial yet engaging when playing around with team comps. This title is truly something special and could have deserved a star more.

Ruined King is a game that shines in its core elements. The narrative, music, world-building, and gameplay are all well-crafted, offering a compelling experience for fans of League of Legends and RPGs alike. The game successfully captures the essence of Runeterra, immersing players in a rich and detailed world. However, beneath this polished surface, there are noticeable signs of rushed development. The game is plagued by a number of minor bugs and glitches that detract from the overall experience. For instance, there's a recurring issue where players can repeatedly trigger dialogue sequences by spamming buttons, leading to frustrating loops that can break immersion. Additionally, certain actions, such as fishing, can result in lingering visual effects or unintended interactions with the environment. While these technical issues may seem minor, they collectively contribute to a sense of unfinished business. It's as if the developers were so focused on delivering a compelling story and engaging gameplay that they neglected to polish the finer details. In conclusion, Ruined King is a game with a lot of potential, but its flaws prevent it from reaching its full potential. If you're a fan of League of Legends or RPGs, you'll likely find a lot to enjoy here. However, be prepared to encounter some frustrating bugs and glitches along the way. Overall I think it's a great game.

Cool game. Played it during my hype phase after watching Arcane and getting back into League a little bit. I did the right thing and quit League again but this game is still pretty damn good.
