This is a simulator that plays like a RPG. Many simulators have corny stories or no story at all, but Saloon Simulator has an entertaining story line with great character development! I didn't come across any bugs to speak of and the game play felt very realistic! There are no consequences to not serving people so there is opportunity to increase the difficulty. I really appreciate this early release play-through and can't wait to see the next content release! I can see this being a game that I keep coming back to as more content is added and I would pay for additional DLC. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes either simulators or RPG's. I truly hope they can increase the team size to add to this unique and engaging story. One of the best early release games I have ever played!

Just do it! Buy it! Unlike a lot of games, you won't regret buying this one. Although "business simulator" has become an extremely over-saturated genre, this one stands out... in a good way. It has all the great aspects of a top tier business sim game, but also has a ton of fun and unique aspects that keeps things interesting. Imagine if the best business sim game and Red Dead 2 had a baby... here it is! I don't have the time to write long, technical reviews. In fact, I can rarely be bothered to write any reviews at all. But this game deserves a good review and it definitely deserves a spot in your library. So again I say, just do it. Buy the game. Quick Update: If any of the devs are reading this, I have only one question... Can we expect any women of ill-repute on offer (you know... in addition to the whiskey and hard tack)?

This is a great game. I played the prologue and was so excited for the early release. I really enjoyed it - but it went to fast for me. I was hoping that there would be more quests and I DO realize this was early release but for the price - I kind of feel like it should have had a bit more. A lot of early release games are FREE or 13 bucks or under (ish). Basically you can play the early access in a day or two max...and it's just over unless you continue FREE play - but not much happens after that. I just felt like it was unfinished but am fully aware that it's still being worked on and I was just happy to get to play it! Things I loved: All the recipes, the characters, the storyline, the fact that you DON'T have to wash dishes...the entire subject of the Saloon setting - there aren't enough games out on this theme and I love it. The ability to also have rooms and decorate. Also it'd be nice if the you could decide HOW you want to decorate a room and not have it already decided where things go. Things I didn't love but may be fixed with full release: The chairs are way too easy to pick up when you are serving meals. I want the ability to open more rooms (probably coming) I want the opportunity to hire only 1 actual employee - for either serving or cleaning help. I don't want there to be endless employees because then you aren't actually involved in the daily grind of running a saloon. I would love to have them add women to the saloon at minimum to serve drinks and possibly someone that the main character can engage/fall for....he deserves some kind of life TOO! Great job guys - can't wait to see more.

Overall pretty good, game is on the right track to be something really good. Game play is great. Story line is ok. Nothing great, but not terrible. Not a lot of consequences to your decisions. The one thing that would be handy in the future is being able to hire workers to take the load off of you when rush hour comes around. Trying to serve drinks and do meals is to much for one person to tackle. Overall I'd give the game a solid 7/10 currently. For early access it's on the right track.

Good enough game for its price. The main attraction of this game is to be the saloon owner. Here is a brief list of the content offered by the game at the moment (aside from the story): As the saloon owner, your main job is to: 1. Drink mixing minigame. 2. Cooking minigame. 3. Decorating your saloon with earned money. 4. Cleaning guest rooms for people to stay in. 5. Owning a gambling den (basically passive income). Aside from the main job as the saloon owner, there are a couple more "side jobs" 1. Train unloading minigame. 2. Gold panning minigame. 3. Dissembling stolen wagons. 4. Collecting scrap. 5. Train unloading minigame. Pros: 1. There are no other wild west saloon games out there. 2. The minigames can be interesting for a while. 3. The wild west aesthetics and environment ambience are well done. Cons: 1. Balancing. At this moment, patrons will overwhelm you quickly. You get a conga line of people coming in for drinks from the morning. 2. The minigames can grow a bit stale after a while. I played through the entire story and I think I've gotten a bit tired of the drink mixing minigame. This is exacerbated by the fact that you get way too many people coming in for drinks. I think it should be balanced by having people mostly coming in for drinks in the afternoon and night, and people should come in for food mostly during mealtimes instead of all day long. Or, just allow us to get employees to do the jobs for us. As far as simulators go, since it is in early access, it is definitely not the best one out there, but this one has great potential.
