You can see where Telltale cut their teeth on the episodic point and click type games they became famous for with S&MStW. This game is based on characters from a comic of the same name from back in the 80's. The game is pretty hilarious, and I still have the War room song stuck in my head.

Funny game, one of my favourite, I have the original on cd that I got from a magazine, bought the remaster on xbox and rebought it on Steam, when it was on sale. I love this game, it was the first game I have ever played, but it has it's issues. Because of the episodic format that the game was released on back in the day, binging through it all at one sitting or with little breaks makes the game really stale by the time someone reaches ep4, and the reused characters and places doesn't help either, but at least most of the characters are lovable enough, that I don't mind the non-stop recycling. The puzzles can be really idiotic sometimes, but that comes with the humor of the franchise, you just have to train your brain to think like Sam and Max. It's also a bummer, that the devs changed the voice actor for Bosco, but most new players aren't going to notice it, so I let it pass (that drama was years ago anyways). In short, I recommend the game, but take a somewhat long break between episodes, it helps to make the game less repetitive.

i dont know how else to describe it besides an extremely good time. very funny writing, sam and max are genuinely one of the best comedic duos ever imo. fun puzzles that don't stray too far into goofy moon logic (or at least goofy moon logic for the rules of the sam and max reality). lots of good running jokes and bits, very good voice acting. overall an extremely solid game and a great remaster. the only thing missing is sam and max's extremely violent wedding tbh. but maybe thats are featured in the other two games. who knows, i haven't played them yet.

i love listening to obnoxiously long dialogue trees from two psychotic idiots pretending to be functioning members of society
