this game is insane lmfaoo it's very fun but it did kind of break my brain. it has you going "haha, sam and max sure are funny!" at first, but once you really get into it the implications of the ending are so haunting you start pacing relentlessly around your room.... or maybe that's just me. these anthropomorphic cartoon animals are ruining my life anyways great game you guys!!!

THIS is the game that made me register on Steam, way back in 2010 Although, back then I didn't really like it, because tbh, 3rd season of Sam & Max was clearly rushed Weird lighting, broken animations, bugs, cut content, poor optimisation and so on and so forth Also, being a teen and a fan of first two seasons, I liked some of the more mature theming of tDPH's story, but not all of it "no S&M OFFICE, are you serious..????" -13 y.o. me And only with time it really grew on me and now I see it as one of my favourite games and maybe best Point-and-Click game of all time..? This time gag-machine of S&M is tightly entangled in a very interesting plot, themes of episodes are great and use a bunch of cool narrative mechanics and genre cliches in interesting ways. And gags are great again! Some of my favourite ones from whole franchise are here (wedding ring jingle lives in my head rent free)! And what a shame it was that whole season stuck in that weird state for ages. And then... Skunkape came. And finally, from 14th of August, 2024, Devil's Playhouse is not broken anymore, like it was for more than half of my life. THANK YOU! "43162" is a secret number you might need in your new journey (Thanks, SuperMarioFan Studios for finding it!) P.S. After completing. Idc what anyone says, it is the best point-and-click adventure game ever made! Dream came true, holy hell P.P.S. My GOTY

This is an AMAZING remaster. Unused dialogue, smoothed out animations, its a fans dream come true and skunkape outdid themselves. The game is convoluted with some truly unorthodox puzzles but the addition of the "what now?" question with max helps a lot. If your a fan of all things comedic or point n clicks this is the perfect time to get to know these silly anthro police men.

So far, it seems just like the original but better. The lighting and graphics are a straight upgrade, and as such the animations don't feel as janky and stilted as they did in the original. The audio is much better, and the music has been remastered with apparently new tracks I have yet to hear. There's been some new features, like the avatar for Sam's dialogue choice wheel being a hand-drawn animation rather than the 3D render the OG had (it looks WAYYYY better), the fabled Nutri-Specs have been re-added, some bugged dialogue was fixed (apparently). To top it all off, the devs are releasing the OG release as free DLC soon, which I absolutely commend and applaud - in a time where game remakes usually mean the original getting delisted and/or completely forgotten about, it's nice to see game devs do their part for game preservation. 26 bucks is more than fair, and they're giving a huge discount to those who own the other S&M remasters. If you like Sam and Max and/or adventure games, you'd be stupid to pass on this.
