starting off this game right after the first encounter, taking a couple of minutes to sort out the settings, direct3D works best as usual, and on serious difficulty as usual the story simply follows from the previous part with a convenient crash back down to earth, but at least there is more to look at with vegetation rather than just desert, though this game does bring more things that block bullets and movement but the more focused design works better here, and towards the end of the game the theme switches to medieval europe the best part of the game is certainly the valley that plays a heavy metal version of jingle bells while fighting enemies, and the types of battles you'll be having in this game is much more varied than the first encounter, and more fun as a result and the game doesn't throw any translucent enemies at you this time which is nice and there aren't any full fledged secret levels so you don't need to get all secrets to get a full experience of the game there is a lot more ammo and healing to go around in this game so there isn't really a need to use the revolvers or shotguns much the game does introduce new weaponry such as a sniper and a serious bomb, an interesting choice as snipers aren't balanced in pretty much any game, the serious bomb does just wipe out all the currently spawned enemies in case things get too serious, and a flamethrower that is very fuel efficient for how much damage it can do, though in this game the delay that comes from scrolling between weapons as sam needs to take out each one individually doesn't really help in quick scenario, especially having to switch between single or double handguns when the single version becomes obsolete almost immediately i ended up enjoying this more than the first encounter so i would certainly recommend it, it's also quite silly with it's jokes and voicelines, including the text in the netrisca being given more personality i'd say it's even worth getting the first and second encounter bundle

TSE has a significantly different weapon sandbox and thematic structure than the first game, despite looking like "TFE part two" on the surface.

Same as serious sam first encounter, but MOOORE gameplay. Way more fun to be found here and it is a BLAST to play. This is so serious that if i had to review this game for real, it would take 3000 years to read because of how much cool stuff is in this game. 100/10, DEFINITELY recommend!

More levels, more weapons, more monsters — everything louder, crazier, and bigger than the first game. This is peak old-school FPS: nonstop action, insane enemy swarms, and pure fun with friends.
