It's a pretty nice medieval city builder. It took me around 22 hours to get my city to 500+ population and get 100% achievements in the game, which in my book counts as completing everything that the game has to offer. Personally I don't see myself playing it again, as there is simply no more challenge left in the game for me, but I think it's worth playing at least once. It has everything you'd expect from such a game, and it's really charming. I like the visual style and the mechanics are pretty good. Big towns become a bit unwieldy from logistical perspective, but it still works okay enough. It's completely possible to be self-sustaining at any population level, but trading is there to get you over the hump when you rapidly expand the town, and fill-in for the non-renewable resources (especially stone). Raiders are a bit meh. They pose a challenge early in the game, an in late-game stage you have to cheese them a bit, increasing the army size over 40 to 50-ish is pretty unfeasible as you'll be desperate for more workers. Still, it's better that they are there than not, as it gives you something to do and a reason to build the walls and be careful with expanding the city.

was very surprized by this one. feels most polished then most of the EA builder sims i see. i do have some tips for the devs. 1. make nodes respawn around the map randomly. unlimited felt to easy and having the map just die out felt worse. 2. tune down the attacks. i had to just full on cheese the encounters. any attempt to take them head on would ruin hours of game time. make them way easier but mix in archers or a few climbers so they can't just be kited or trapped and killed with a single archer in a tower. 3. earthquake should be more reactible. make the earthquake a lot longer and player has to direct his units to repair house before they fall apart. with fast earthquakes bad RNG just ends a run. same with fires. If i just have enough water wells fire is a AFK non issue. 4. The trading system is amazing!!! but i'd like to see trade offers get bigger in the end game. After i have 50k gold trading for 10 eggs seems below me. 5. make life spans more varied. i found no matter what i tired, i'd get to 200,300,400 pop. like half my pop would just die at the same time from old age. and before i could react i would have like a 100 babies and no one to run my farms, etc and would have to stop all production for years and wait for the next generation to grow up. it felt very unorganic. not sure if this is was on purpose. but it felt broken to me. Keep up the updates you guys have a winning game here. i hope it blows up for you!

A casual little town builder that doesn't bring anything new to the genre or present much challenge, but executes well on the well trodden path of those who came before it. If you are looking for comfortable familiarity with a fresh coat of paint, this is your game. Comparable to Banished or Kingdoms and Castles.

Alot of mechanics from Farthest Frontier are here. Down to building names and descriptions, they are in this game. One of the improvements I'd say are in this game vs. FF or Manor Lords is the depth and control over the villagers. There are enough setting differences to set this game apart from others in terms of replay value but nothing ground breaking found yet. Maybe with a little more time in. I'd recommend as a fun take on RTS city building.

I first installed the demo for this months ago and was so impressed, I wishlisted and didn't play again, as I wanted to come in and enjoy it fresh on release. It released yesterday, grabbed it straight away, and for the first time in months I have a game that I can't drag myself away from. It's so good and here's why I think that: The dev is doing this on his own and is very responsive, very active, fixes bugs and gives guidance in Discord, and generally makes you feel like you're in great hands. Graphically I find the game very pleasing, it's not too cartoony and the little people are somewhat realistic, which I like in my sims! I also love that I can scroll in close and watch them working. Some games don't let you get close enough. The balance is great, not too rushed and not too slow, there are lots of parameters available to customise your game experience. The music is pleasant and not too irritating. I usually slap that stuff off straight away but 9 hours in I still have it on now. It's peaceful and calming, as are the ambient sounds during game play. None of the audio detracts from the experience (as an autistic gamer, that's important to me.) Sure there are a few little bugs and glitches still being ironed out, but that's to be expected, and watching the dev work on them in real time is very cool. I'm crap at writing reviews. Buy it and see for yourself, I don't think it will disappoint.
