Brilliant game even without the H- content, A tad short but there is post game content that unlocks and I see myself coming back to this one also picked the sequel up on GOG and its amazing.

Phenomenal pixel art, and the soundtrack nails 16-bit Castlevania perfectly, but outside the immaculately grotesque aesthetics, the actual gameplay is underwhelminng: combat that is incredibly limited and monsters that do little to surprise, the only real challenge memorizing the occasional boss pattern and that god awful dripping acid segment in one of the bonus levels. Thankfully it's not terribly long, ergo SiNiSistar never really overstays its welcome, making for a decent, albeit lurid jaunt. Don't forget the patch on DLSite, assuming you're not bothered by ero guro, at any rate; chances are if you're already here, you aren't.

I am absolutely OBSESSED with this game. Played it pirated and bought it so I can remember about it each time I look in my library. I recommend it for a quick play, just get the nsfw patch, you can buy it (which is something I find weird since you already bought the game, but whatever) or you can just find it for free if you look around. The Blasphemous + Bloodborne mix is so well done and I love the lvl select map, it's so good. I also really love Rabiane (more than Lelia from the second game, and I know there's a Rabiane skin in the second game but it just looks too different and she's not as cute as here), she's so cute and sweet and gorgeous, I already knew from the start I'll try my best to keep her pure, but then came the only ending where she has to get 'got' by a slug to enter the nightmare and defeat the final boss, and that slug may or may not be a dream or hallucination, but it hasn't been confirmed, so Idk. Also the WLW scene in the laboratory level with Rabiane and her clone left me breathless and I just wish for more.

General Experience Sinisistar plays like an OG Castlevania but has an extremely dark setting to top off the eroge. Everything matches this: The atmosphere, the music and the artwork all do a great job at giving you the darkest experience. The pixel artwork is some of the best. I mean it literally when I say it feels like a classic Castlevania title; your movement is incredibly slow and platforming has no weight to it. I don't think it makes for an issue, the combat is very lenient and platforming is not that common. I think as a whole the game does a great job at delivering what it's promising, but the full experience is going to require a patch. Adult Content This is the lite version, meaning all the adult content is behind a separate paid patch on the DLsite website. There is no way on Steam to acquire the content, so you will have to go 3rd party. Should you download the additional content, you'll be met with a scene for every death you can get in the game. The content is disturbing in nature, you'll come across monstrosities and gore as a common theme in each scene. The scenes have two parts, with a CG on the side that changes based on what's going on and an animation involving your pixel character with the enemy. After beating the game, you will get a memory viewer available to you to experience it all without having to go through the combat. Complaints Very short, I managed to clear everything in under two hours. The niche that the game fills is the biggest selling point, but you will be met with a lack of actual content. I'm used to 3rd party patches, but actually paying for it is pretty lame. Replayability There are two difficulties, the intended one and an easy mode. There is no hard mode and the normal mode is on by default. Should you clear it, there is no additional reason to replay the game. Extra Content The game has added two new zones at some point for free, so the base game has all the actual content in it. As mentioned, the patch is a 3rd party purchase to unlock the adult content. Achievements No achievements are included at this time. Technical Issues I didn't have a single technical issue, game runs out the box without any trouble. Value The game itself is $5, and drops to $3 on sale. The patch is like another $5 but has frequent coupons and discounts (I got it for less than $1). The game fits a niche that you may enjoy, but the overall game is super short and I strongly recommend getting it for as cheap as you can get it.

Short, simple, but sweet. Excellent action platformer. Very high quality package with no fluff. Almost feels like a boss rush with very condensed levels in-between. No item collection or metroidvania aspects if that is a dealbreaker, but you still might want to give this one a look. H-content is by defeat only. A handful of ryona/gore/vore/break/corruption scenes each. A good variety and each very unique. There's a decent amount of good post-game bonus content too, including a couple of extra levels. Make sure not to miss them!
