I wanted to leave a jokey review about Sir Whoopass in line with the humor of the game itself but by the end I felt like I needed to be honest. It’s a fun sub-ten hour romp but boy are there things about the game that fall completely flat. Melee combat is junk and feels terrible and the back third or so of the game is basically the same dungeon repeated nine times and then the game just…stops. It doesn’t end, it just stops. There is no ending and that sucks. Still it’s a breezy title that’s dumb as hell and you’ll probably still have fun with it. My advice is to use your ranged weapons most of the time and ignore melee as much as possible. Also it runs reprising well on the Steam Deck. A neat little title even if it has some major problems.

Barely recommending this game, as it is not great, but it's not horrible either. The only way I can describe it is by comparing it to something like Goat Simulator, but instead you're a knight on a quest, with some slightly Stanley Parable-ish narrating at the side. The exploration is very uninteresting, the combat is bland and the map is extremely incomplete and hollow to the point where it feels like everything was made by lazily slapping together a bunch of unity assets. The good: + sometimes funny + a couple of interesting dungeons + short and low price + has co-op if you want to share the cheap laughs with a few friends The bad: - Not THAT funny (lot of the jokes don't really land that well, or have aged poorly) - feels rushed and very unfinished - combat is terrible and clunky, besides for blowing things up with ranged attacks - sensory overload with some of it's lighting and sound effects (it's particularly bad at the last boss, to which I'll give an epilepsy warning due to the horrendous flashing) As I said before, I can barely recommend this game, it really feels like something you'd pick up when you're absolutely out of things to do, or just can't afford anything better. It's not an awful game when it's carried by it's humor and narrating, but I'd skip this game and get something else if you crave comedy, randomness, exploration etc I'd rate it around 5 or 6/10, if you are considering buying it, wait for a decent discount of -50% off or more.

This game is absolutely fantastic. For 1, this isn't a AAA game and it isn't trying to be The game and the devs know what it is and what its not It is a great game that's fun to play when you just want to relax The new addition with co op is a great way to get some laughs with your friends I've certainly payed a lot more for games I've enjoyed a lot less than this one

AAA game CEO's need some serious Whoopass. This is a proper videogame. Don't listen to the negative reviews here: all i read is it gets tedious and boring after the tutorial. First of all, that's not true. it gets a bit less yes, but it's more up to you to keep the fun in there. On normal mode i'm having a blast while blasting mobs. Second........As if you can enjoy 90€ games nowadays. Just saying. I had the luck of buying this game on sale, but because of that, i bought another copy of it and gifted it to my son in law. Defenitly worth the 20€.
