Being that I'm a Marine I think I have the qualifications to say, this is as close as you're gonna get to the real thing without enlisting/commissioning yourself. Just in real life you don't teleport your brain into another squad mate when you die, you just die. Highly recommend, but maybe not if you're a veteran and have bad PTSD though, especially if you got it from Operation Phantom Fury or subsequent middle east deployments around that time. As I hear from leadership who were there, its "anxiety inducingly accurate". The devs put a lot of passion and heart into telling these stories properly and it shows. I'd argue this is essentially a horror game as games like this should be.

Six Days in Fallujah is a tactical shooter game that shuns "slow" and "methodical", and instead encourages initiative and quick-thinking aggression. Firefights are frantic, chaotic, and overwhelming, and this game loves to apply pressure to the player. You'll quickly have to learn how to use violence to push back. I've waited to recommend this game until Command and Control came out. Solo missions were basically impossible alone, and while I've had some truly awesome random teammates with the matchmaker, I've also had others whose sole objective was to share their dysfunctionality with the rest of the world. So having tried out the new AI teammates, while they are not perfect (really, no AI is), I think they are a great addition to the game that adds some much-needed consistency to the experience. If you're thinking about getting this game, now is a great time to do so.

Played for 5 hours straight with a buddy. Immediately addicted to the type of cohesion and strategy this game required of us to stay alive. They have all the makings of delivering a much needed type of game in the single player FPS military realism genre. Enemies are way to good of shot and flankers, but it is emmersive. The fact they are dumping time into AI sqauds so I don't have to beg my lone steam friend to play with me is exciting. If any new players are looking for a squadmate to make a million mistakes with, hit me up.

I love this game I can't wait for the campaign only because I don't always want to play online. After 12 years of military service this is by far the best in terms of realism.
