This game is like Plate Up! and a card game had a baby. Fun and kept me interested because I was searching for a card game to play. I did not realize it would take a lot of thinking, but that's okay. I like the recipe discovery, foods you create, and gameplay loop.

I love Stacklands and I love cooking games. So this was a no-brainer. In this game the pause button is your best friend. I liked that there’s a hard mode for no pause. I feel like the markets were made for hard mode, because there's no pause, so you need the ingredients quicker which then justifies for the high prices. It does get tiring because you need to check recipes all the time, you just can't remember them especially the ones that have 4-5 ingredients, and you unlock the new recipes too quickly. At day 12 you will have unlocked 50 recipes. It does get easier on subsequential play from beginning but still. Luckily you can also hover over the customer’s counter for the recipe. You don't need to keep buying packs to get flour or milk (or other ingredients) when you get supply boxes / markets, so ignore those complaints from other reviewers. You don't wanna quit at end of the day, because it doesn't save your progress, you wanna quit at beginning of the next day. In conclusion, I think it's still nice but it's not as good as Stacklands, because the flow isn't there, you're constantly pausing and checking the recipes. I would prefer same recipe more often instead of so many different recipes coming at you. So you can batch process ingredients. You can still have a challenging with same recipes by increasing the satisfied customer amount requirement daily. Introduce the new recipes slowly.

There are some games available on mobile phones. At first glance, they seem interesting and creative, promising a casual yet enjoyable experience. But after the first few levels, they become unnecessarily complex, forcing you to purchase tens of dollars worth of packages just to perform even the smallest tasks. Otherwise, the game becomes unplayable. This game continues that initial experience without sacrificing it. It demonstrates that a game can be made without being bogged down by the micropurchase scourge of today. That's why it maintains the casual experience I mentioned so long, and keeps you coming back for more and more. The game demonstrates its development by an experienced team in many ways. First and foremost, the art design is delightful, adding to the casual enjoyment. It flows naturally, eliminating the need for nonsensical tutorials. We instinctively sense what we're likely to encounter as we proceed. Because the game's mechanics are based on everyday cooking, we can reason and discover things ourselves without needing any guidance. The team has managed to guide the player with simple hints without disrupting this sense of discovery. If you're accustomed to different recipes, this game will help you guess which ingredients you need for the desired dish. Figuring out how to make some dishes can be challenging. However, sometimes "recipe cards" are provided for these situations. Finding them will solve this problem. The recipe list on the left is very helpful. My only criticism of the game is that it needs a few more minor tweaks. For example, I'd like to see more customization options, rather than the game being limited to just the "workspace." For example, I'd like to see additional features available for purchase, like decorating the kitchen with flowers, replacing kitchen cabinets, or changing the customers' chairs or tables. Of course, this shouldn't affect the game's core mechanics, but rather be a simple "customization" feature and shouldn't create unnecessary clutter. But other than that, the game is truly well-made. It sometimes reminds me of the games I played on PC in the early 90s. They've managed to achieve a simple yet effective result. 8: Very good - While it needs some tweaks, it deserves to be popular.

Obsessed over the demo, stayed up way too late to play it the moment it dropped, have played it on and off in the background for days. It's an excellent, chill but satisfying card-stacking crafting game, a la Stacklands - if you liked Stacklands and want to see it skinned for cooking, this is it - and I mean that as a high compliment. When you like something, you want more of it!! A lot of the negative reviews about bugs and nonintuitiveness are, quite frankly, from people who don't understand what kind of game this is. Downward pressure and opportunity to fail are important parts of game design for this genre. Working within the constraints of the design is part of the game. Not knowing a recipe and needing to discover it by trial and error is PART OF THE FUN. There are no more bugs than expected at launch, and nothing that won't be patched very soon (if not by the time you're reading this) - and I experienced none that significantly hurt my run. All in all, great game if you want more Stacklands, or if you like cooking games and want to try something new!

progression feels a little fast - eg. by the time italian cuisine came around my board had no room for any sense of organisation. could just be a skill issue. otherwise, really fun game.
