7/10 Very interesting Puzzle Indie game. The narrative of the game and the way it goes on are very novel. However, this game would not take you so much time to finish, and you may still do not understand the story and what happened even after you finished the game. Although you are a hacker, in this game, the way you hack the document is to solve Sudoku, and nothing more. The story is a little amusing, but too obscure. The puzzle part of this game is very hardcore, you need to find how to get into the game by the store page, the demo vision of this game, and other information in this game. I do not recommend this game for players who are not interested in solving puzzles. The suspenseful atmosphere of the game is very well-created, and the immersive sound effects also make you a perfect experience of an old-fashioned hacker experience. Worth you trying if you are interested in puzzle games, and want to explore the mysteries by yourself.

Great puzzle game. The style of the screen hurt my eyes so I had to take it away. Glad taht there is an option for it.

Like many other reviewers, my opinions on this game are mixed. Structurally, it's great! The puzzles are good and just tricky enough to challenge, but not so much that they're impossible. If you make one wrong move, you get a buzz, and completing it won't register as a perfect run, but you have infinite moves to do it right after that. If you're a completionist, there's a very quick reset with no loading interval, which is a blessing. Learning how the puzzle works is intuitive and fun. The whole game plays using just the mouse, aside from the ingenious login screen, which necessitates being able to swap to the browser window and a little bit of snooping around the game's store page. MGS CD case codec number flashbacks, anyone? There are more easter eggs available to those who know how to look and where to look, which I think is great fun. People with ARG experience will appreciate the hunt! There are, unfortunately, a couple bad things too. The English language version is riddled with grammatical error, rather than typos, which is understandable seeing where the devs are from but is still frustrating given the semi-lucid and one-sided way the "story" is told. I feel like they could have asked someone to double check it at least. The way the "plot" is presented is fun and bite-sized, a one-sided chat log, but the problem is that you have to navigate this hackjob language to get only half a conversation, and if you were drawn to this game because of its trailers, well, you're going to come away disappointed. I was. You will not be experiencing a thriller/horror AI gone wild. You won't be chasing or being chased or find out at all what happened to Mathilda or Tom. You'll never find out who Eliza is. You've barely any sense of who James - the eponymous protagonist - is, in fact. You can draw some vague conclusions from the snippets of chat you're given in between puzzles, but that requires quite a good deal of imagination. I think the devs had a lot more in mind for this product, but lacked funding or time to realise it and that's a super shame! Note that I picked this game up during a sale. If I had paid full price, I would've been significantly less happy. Don't expect what the trailers and game blurb promises. This is a fun puzzle game that allows you to pry into some risque chat logs.

Sorry, James is the way how metagames should be of "meta". The game is not merely an executable program along with components necessary to run, but not unlike [url=http://store.steampowered.com/app/409160/] Dr. Langeskov : a full collaboration of its store page, free demo, trailer video. Each a part of the whole picture. They even built a simple chatbot to accomplish what they set out to do. Gameplay wise, it didn't impress me. But aside from that? Marvelously it did.

Truly unique experience. I mean, right from the start there's something I've never seen being used in game (way you need to figure out login and password) . Mechanics are simple from start, but gradually becomes more complicated. I liked that dialogues aren't in chronological order (like in Memento) , that adds even more stuff to think about in this game. Definitely recommended for players who like to dig into puzzles, or told and untold stories.
