This is a fantastic Zelda-like game. If you liked any of the old 2D Zelda Games, you will like this one as well. Some of the stories are quiet emotional and sometimes elements within the game hit me surprisingly. So tears are possible. For achievement hunters: This game has collectibles without indicators, so you might need a guide for them. But you will find most of them easily. I'm missing three right now and I will look for them without one, atleast for my next session. The other achievement I despise is the "Speedrun" achievement, even though you don't have to finish the whole game. I think, it won't be too hard, but I just hate achievements like these. Would be my reason for a negative review, but everything else is great, so...

This is easily one of the best Zelda-likes in recent years! Everything feels super polished - from UI, sprite work, animations to level design. Each major area introduces new mechanics and gameplay ideas, nothing manages to get stale over the course of the game. There are quite a few puzzles and they are of type "why haven't I thought of it earlier?!" and I mean this in a positive way. Game world is relatively small, but dense with secrets & charming NPCs to interact with. The pig sidekick is not only a cute companion, but also an important asset for traversing the environments, often helping to get into places where main protagonist cannot. Fight is simple, but satisfying - exactly what I expect from this genre. Boss fights are perfect - not a single one of them is a damage sponge, each requires an unique strategy. Overall, I can't recommend this game enough. This year is full of amazing releases and this game joins the lineup.

A really nice game! I like the puzzles and the graphics. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an entertaining gaming experience. I'm currently stuck, but that's probably just because I'm stupid.

Spindle is a story-driven adventure packed with charming puzzles – it definitely gives off some Zelda vibes. The gameplay feels well-balanced, and the puzzles strike a nice difficulty level: challenging but fair. The visuals are lovingly crafted, and from a technical perspective, the game runs flawlessly. At €20, it’s absolutely worth it!
