initially this looked like abandoned ware, but it looks they are back working on it again with the latest update. so glad too because this game was awesome, very sophisticated crafting and ship and station building. rwally glad they have picked it up again

So yeah, it's abandoned, but you can still make it worth the price in it's current state. Pretty much feature complete

Abandonware, that said there's more than enough content to make it worth $15. I'd recommend it but don't expect any updates.
