I decided to build my first submarine recently. 40 hours, many historical documents, and multiple open tabs later, I now know the entire layout and subsystems of a WW2 era Type VII U-Boat. I seriously had to learn from scratch how everything works. For example, the ballast tanks. I had no clue real subs used compressed air to push the water out of them to raise back to the surface but I tried it out and it works in-game. There are so many technical aspects to this game and it has a STEEP learning curve. If you take it one step at a time and don't expect your first vehicle to be a masterpiece, then you won't get overwhelmed. TLDR: Steep learning curve but an amazing game if you take it slow.
