Literally on of the best versions of Persephone. As a worshiper, I normally stay away from modern Greek mythos media. But this is a really beautiful interpretation. This game actually did research. It didn't cheapen Persephone by making her some wife to Hades. It doesn't romantize what happened to her either. This game made me cry. The meessaging is wonderful. I really recommend.

Stray Gods is a fresh and creative musical RPG, and it plays well on the Steam Deck. Pros: - Beautiful art and great voice acting. - Choices really matter, making the story feel personal. - Runs smoothly on the Steam Deck. Cons: - Some scenes transition awkwardly. - A few slow parts in the story. Overall, it’s a unique and fun game, perfect for musical and story fans!

Loved this one, even if musicals are not my thing. Story, characters, voice acting, visuals, music, choices - all is great here. Definitely will replay and definitely a massive thumbs up.

Truly enjoying this game (on my second playthrough). I think they did a decent job in trying to create some unique kind of narrative-driven game. Having music as your 'power' feels pretty nice and on top of that I thoroughly enjoy the pieces of music created for this game. Worth replaying to see the different scenarios and endings.

Pros: All-star voice cast. Bangin' character art. Unique blend of mystery, mythology, and visual novel style storytelling. Choices that actually have an impact on characters' storylines. Creative songwriting where your decisions impact the lyrics. Very replayable. I haven't explored all romances, but the one I did was sweet and convincing and I'm going to go write fanfiction about it. Cons: 3D assets look seriously awful. I wish they had stuck with the same 2D comic-esque art style for the backgrounds as well as the characters. The mystery is obvious. Main story is short. Many songs are forgettable/pitchy/not mixed well. Not much of a roleplaying element for a "roleplaying" game. You aren't able to go back and see dialogue you missed or create multiple saves. Overall: 7/10 Despite falling short in a few areas I enjoyed this game and plan to play again to see how other choices play out. And look at Persephone some more - I mean what?
