I love this game. I think it gets a lot of hate because of how frustrating the trial and error chase scenes can be. But people saying the puzzles are too difficult I feel like just want their hand held through horror games. I agree sometimes the difficulty of puzzles in horror games can take away from the scary moments, but I don't think that applies in this game. They're a little difficult but it's the type of puzzles that make you go "ohhhh" and then realize you were overthinking it and it was in your face the whole time. I think there's value in games challenging you to use your brain. But besides all that, I think the story is extremely interesting. It leaves on cliffhangers for most of the endings, but that's because it's episodic. It will more than likely elaborate in the next episodes, but people are impatient and want immediate satisfaction and closure which I can also understand. But there's a bunch of symbolism and hints to what happened in the story, especially if you find some of the secrets off the beaten path of the game. And I feel like I don't even need to say anything about the graphics, sound design and all the stuff that makes it look nice, because you can't deny that it's incredible. Overall, I genuinely think the game is getting way too much hate and is way better than people are giving it credit for. It's a game that is Backrooms styled but is a completely different take on the genre. It's a breath of fresh air from the usual Backrooms style of liminal spaces and just finding ways to escape and survive an entity. It explores into the psychological genre with a unique story about the subconscious of young boy where some traumatic event happened while also including the nostalgic and liminal feelings while also having a Stanley Parable style. So yeah, I never leave reviews but I felt like I needed to say something about this one considering all the mixed reviews.

ENGLISH: I see that a lot of people didn’t understand a damn thing about the meaning of this game, and were expecting the usual horror game with nice graphics where you run from a monster, get scared, and that’s it—everyone’s happy with that kind of nonsense. You’re literally inside the mind of a person reliving both trauma and good memories in order to rebuild their memory, and all they have are distorted, fragmented pieces that need to be put together to find the answer they’re looking for. People complain that the clues aren’t clear—if you lack patience and can’t take the time to analyze and explore, and expect everything to be handed to you in 30 seconds, then this game just isn’t for you. Unfortunately, masterpieces like this are also accessible to people who clearly don’t appreciate or understand them, judging by some of the reviews I’ve had the displeasure of reading. This game does exactly what it was designed to do.

Alright, guys, alright, I get it now... I’m actually SUPER easy to scare LOL. This game is basically a near-masterpiece of backrooms-type stuff. I genuinely felt this anxiety I haven’t had from games for a long time, and that’s without even reaching the monster level. And the way it suddenly showed up (yeah okay, it was kind of obvious, but still) I almost fell off my chair from the scare, it was insane xD Talking about sound design, it is so good and satisfying, especially on the Waterworks level - it made me just stand there and listen to every single sound surrounding me. This is exactly how liminal space games should be done when the devs are not trying to create that PS1 style but instead go into realism while still being able to keep that heavy, EXTREMELY uncomfortable sense of dread. Bravo!
