This is perfect. So simple, so elegant, so pleasant. Fulfill orders, build ships, make them look as stupid as you want, make them efficient, beautiful, cheap, ugly, extremely expensive, luxurious, whatever. Writing is also really great. Rocket Rat Games are REALLY talented, and I highly encourage you to also check out Cobalt Core if you enjoy tactical deckbuilders.
So I'm coming here after 75+ hours in Cobalt Core, and hey, Sunshine Heavy Industries has the same chill vibe, same sense of humor, same Dracula cameo. What we've got here is spaceship assembly that tickles the same part of the brain as free-play with Legos. I never found meeting the ship criteria at a profit particularly difficult (the real challenge is making ships that don't look ugly and dumb), but it's nevertheless quite engaging and satisfying in small doses. I paid five bucks for Sunshine Heavy Industries on a sale, and I have no complaints whatsoever.
