(300+ hours on alt account) definitely a gamer game: primarily skill based plus rng drives the uniqueness in the runs, tons of nuanced hidden mechanics, and runs are grindy and complete runs can take 10-30+ hours depending upon difficulty. crazy amount of content with all the dlc included in the base game now and it goes on sale often. get to know the game for a dozen or so hours first and then get the quality of life mod to unlock all recipes and improve inventory management. Sword of the Stars: The Pit is a legendary rouge-like game with some strategy, crafting, and RPG elements mixed in. The number of floors to be explored exceed 50, with each floor randomly generated with each playthrough, leaving an infinite amount of variety. The ability to brave the pit with different characters adds to the additional strategies it takes to get to the bottom of the pit. This is a great game for streaming as well due to the variety. I definitely recommend this game for the value.

Great game...so much variety, many weapons and skills and ways to handle threats. Really a well thought through, complex old school rpg roguelike. Highly recommended
