This game was great. The training aspect of it is super addictive and having your character get visibly stronger in battles is cool. I definitely recommend you try this out.

This game is fundamentally good, the story is engaging, and the characters feel lively and well-written. I especially enjoyed the mini-games at the dojo. However, trying to reach Soulmaster rank in all missions for the related achievement becomes extremely tedious. It takes several hours without offering a significant increase in challenge or variety, you just repeat the same tasks over and over again. The same applies to the achievement “Complete endless stage 120” There’s barely any real skill involved, it’s mostly a numbers game. Reaching that stage feels like a pure time sink, with nothing new or interesting to see or do anymore. So, while the game itself is definitely worth playing, I wouldn’t recommend going for 100% completion solely for the achievements.

Im trying to 100% this game i really am, but agility training requires the reaction time of an F1 racer. And im not even on the coin tossing b*llshit achievement. Nice game.

Swords and Souls: Neverseen was a real blast for me, mostly because I loved the first game so much. If you're like me and spent hours on the original, you'll probably enjoy this one too. I'd definitely recommend it, even though a lot of my fun came from that nostalgic feeling. Though even if you never played the first one, this game could still be for you. The game loop is pretty simple: train your hero, get stuff, fight bad guys, train your hero more, get more stuff, fight more bad guys, etc... I found it satisfying. But honestly, the fighting itself is a bit too easy (pretty straightforward if you like that). Really just quite boring. I kept wishing for more engagement in the battles. The real star of this game are the training mini-games. Seriously, they're awesome. Intuitive, fun, repeatable, and nostalgic. My brother and I actually made a whole competition out of those mini-games. For about a month, we were constantly trying to beat each other's high scores. Every day, we'd check who was ahead, pushing each other to get better. it was about the bragging rights and the fun of competing. That month of trying to get the best scores was some of the most fun I've had gaming in a while (sadly, he won in the end). So yeah, if you liked the first Swords and Souls or just enjoy games where you build up your character and play fun mini-games, give Swords and Souls: Neverseen a try. It's a really good time.
