This game got me into a rabbit hole with no escape, like why I'm deciphering morse codes in songs and when I'm not I'm ripping my hair off after getting 1 bad... If you are new to taiko, I recommend taiko web and osu!taiko since they have more songs (and are free). If u are still curious about this game, wait and get it on sale
Recommend mainly for existing fans of Taiko No Tatsujin, because it's pretty expensive in addition to the monthly subscription (it isn't as bad as people make it sound, but a subscription for a 50 dollar game in general is ehhhhhh). If you aren't already a fan of this game, first play OpenTaiko or visit a local arcade (if you are lucky enough to have one nearby) before committing your money on this game. Still giving it a thumbs up because the training mode is great and most of the official songs are available all in one game which hasn't been the case for most of the game's history.
i mean damn it's the drum beater game, of course it's good, lowkey the only problem with this game is that too much is locked behind dlc/pass and the fact online seems to be dead most of the time nowadays wish namco and other big names from rhythm genre made more *globally available* pc releases (ideally maybe port older arcade entries, but that isn't going to happen for obvious reasons) since the home gaming market for rhythm games is god awful in selection compared to the arcade market
