At its heart, this is a visual novel with light action. There is good world building, you grow the main character (which is already set as a dude--but has stats and lore customization), and you go around the maps for missions. If you hate reading, this game is not for you. That being said, I found the story interesting and the music relaxing, although there isn't a lot of variety in the songs. There might be romance...but if there is it is definately not the focus of this game which is refreshing for a visual novel. Also it's not ecchi, which is also refreshing for a visual novel with a male lead. The story comes first in this game and the characters have fleshed-out personality and backgrounds. Once in a blue moon Chinese characters might pop up in the GUI, but they are not game breaking. I recommend this game for those who love the Wuxia genre and cultivation novels.

It's a fine game. It's not great, but its a very classic story, has functional characters, and a combat system that's moderately enjoyable. But it definitely overstays its welcome in terms of depth vs. length. You will see a lot of repeated scenes interacting with characters, the combat system will probably be 'broken' pretty quickly (meaning you will win easily), and the training parts don't have many interesting twists or decisions—you're just grinding through the days. But it's perfectly serviceable and >20 hours entertainment for a pretty reasonable price, so I would generally recommend it. It's not the best of its genre, but it's fun enough. There's clearly at least some secrets/choices/etc, since I didn't get the 'True Ending' (and I have no idea what I missed, I only know there is a 'True' ending form the achievements), so there might be some replayability, but I think its probably not worth replaying since much of it is just grinding up stats.

The english translation is on point and really good. The game is very much fun to play so you can blindly buy this game if u loved path of wuxia or wuxia type games. Will update this review once I complete the game. Update:Finished the game. The game is really good if you are into visual novels with in depth dialogues and story. This is really a fun game for its price point and fully worth it. Really good visual novel and NPCs you can be attached tooo Multiple Endings and Dialogues as well. Cant keep an harem sadly. In short-Path of Wuxia in a visual novel but very nicely polished and refined

Look, I'm not going to be blunt, this game isn't for everyone. It's primarily a visual novel/time management simulator, with some RPG elements. If you don't like reading, then you're not going to like this game, it's as simple as that. I do like reading however, so I'm having fun with it. Currently my main gripe however is that there are a lot of errors in the translation, and it definitely needs another clean up pass. There are several scenes where the script for the player name just breaks, a couple of quest items have different names then what's asked for, occasionally lines have left over chinese text, I've seen some consumables raise the wrong stat then what is said, and one of the bonding events was so bugged out that it kept repeating one line for a character over and over again. That being said, the developers do seem to be actively squashing them out so it's probably a matter of time. For now, I'm just going to wait until they're fixed.
