The True Future War: Immersion in Terminator's Wasteland Terminator: Resistance is a game that understands its source material on a fundamental level. It doesn't aim to be a groundbreaking game, but rather a deeply immersive and authentic simulation of the post-Judgment Day hellscape first shown in the original films. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3542727122 The game's greatest achievement is its incredibly thick, oppressive atmosphere. From the ashen skies and ruined cities to the constant, terrifying presence of Hunter-Killers, the world feels genuinely lethal and desperate. This is amplified by a stellar sound design where the distant, metallic stomp of a T-800 is enough to freeze your blood. The immersion is top-notch, making you feel not like a super-soldier, but like a scared survivor using stealth, scavenging, and makeshift weapons to live another day. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3539662685 The story, while simple, effectively captures the spirit of the human resistance, allowing you to build relationships with a cast of characters who feel like they've stepped right out of James Cameron's universe. https://youtu.be/gqRrd4_eWNU However, you must meet the game on its own terms. This is a AA experience with a modest budget clearly on display. The gunplay is functional but unremarkable, the character animations can be stiff, and the RPG systems are relatively light. It's a straightforward, linear adventure.

Fun game, really captures the Terminator aesthetic and feel. A very late 2000s feeling game, nice throwback to a simpler time in gaming (and life in general, really).

Compared to Robocop: Graphics are older/worse. Game play mechanics very similar but not as polished as Robocop. I found the story in both engaging enough to carry the game. Overall Robocop is better but Terminator: Resistance hold's it's own. Terminator fan should give this a go, it's not super polished, good start, falls off a bit in the middle and strong ending. I enjoyed my time with both Robocop and Terminator. Give them a try. I'll be keen to see what Teyon do next.

As technology progresses, I no longer consider this a game. I consider it a training simulation. :)

No crashes, no bugs, no game breaker errors, no lame multiplayer modes, no paywall, no shop, no microtransactions, no day one patch, no "improvements" or nerfing patches, just a good game with very fun gunplaym perfect atmosphere like the first two Terminator movies, and linear - mid open levels, just in the good old days. Please, make more games like this.
