Three playthroughs later and I still enjoy it. This is what the third Terminator movie should have been, giving us the original future war aesthetic in video game format. It's interconnected to the first two movies in a faithful way where you can tell that the devs were fans, and truly cared for expanding the lore the right way. It also ignores all the garbage after the first two movies. I would LOVE for these devs to do an Aliens game with how accurate they are and how well they match atmosphere from movies. The music is also top tier, taking on a more guitar heavy version of the movie OST and expanding it further to match the resistance war vibes. Just don't expect this game to have any groundbreaking features, combat or animations you would see in a high budget AAA game. Sometimes the voice acting can feel a bit cheesey too. But literally none of that matters with how well the rest of the game was done. Scratches the Terminator fan itch perfectly.

The positive is because the game is complete, working, with finished campaign. I cleared the game on highest diff in 10h. Game is basically rince n repeat. I did not rush the main missions, I explored every corner of the map. - Graphics, controls, shooting are alright. It is generic FPS. - Weapon types are limited, and not much to do. - Skill levels require you to focus on certain things, but level requirements locks you. Also to level all skills you need max level + all skill books. - Crafting is quite pointless. - Main gun was red plasma rifle (dmg focus), and m4 medium ammo. Then purple plasma guns (i got 2 types) - Hp healing was tedious, simply buy med kits, loot, trick is to level toughness, until HP regen. - Story is actually interesting. I would recommend this game depending on pricing range. Yes there are 18+ scenes. I highly recommend trusting strangers and doing all side quests and being humane as possible. Good luck have fun

9/10. Just like RoboCop: Rogue City, this game is a glorious, defiant middle finger to soulless, bloated AAA cash-grabs. Teyon proves once again that a passionate Double-A studio who actually respects the IP will always make a better movie game than a massive corporation. This isn't just a great shooter—it is the absolute best piece of Terminator media we have received since Judgement Day in 1991. Instead of trying to force the franchise into a generic modern mold, Teyon built a perfect realization of James Cameron’s original Future War. The atmosphere is suffocatingly perfect. Sneaking through the ruins of LA, hearing the iconic metallic clank of the soundtrack, and seeing the terrifying red glow of a T-800's eyes in the dark is an absolute dream come true for fans. The Annihilation Line DLC is also a absolute must-play. It adds a tighter, high-stakes story starring Kyle Reese that bridges the gap beautifully and features some of the tensest firefights in the entire game. Pros: + Impeccable Future War Atmosphere: The purple/blue plasma fire, the searchlights, and the sound design are 100% movie-accurate. + Satisfying Progression: Going from a weak survivor scraping by with scrap metal to a heavily-armed resistance fighter melting T-800s with plasma rifles feels incredible. + Annihilation Line DLC: A phenomenal expansion that elevates the narrative and action to a whole new level. Cons: - AA Budget Limitations: Face animations are stiff and the human AI can be a bit simple, but the sheer love for the franchise completely overshadows the jank. Final Verdict: If you are a Terminator fan, buy this immediately. Don't let the mediocre reviews from mainstream journalists at launch fool you—this is a love letter written by fans, for fans.

Terminator: Resistance surprised me in the best way. It nails the universe in a way most modern franchise games don’t even get close to. The lore is treated with genuine respect, the atmosphere feels straight out of the Future War scenes we all grew up on, and the soundtrack ties it together with that unmistakable Terminator energy. For a AA title, it punches well above its weight. The world feels authentic, the tension is real, and the fan service is smart rather than cheap. If you’re a Terminator fan, this isn’t just “worth a look”—it’s one you should absolutely own.

The True Future War: Immersion in Terminator's Wasteland Terminator: Resistance is a game that understands its source material on a fundamental level. It doesn't aim to be a groundbreaking game, but rather a deeply immersive and authentic simulation of the post-Judgment Day hellscape first shown in the original films. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3542727122 The game's greatest achievement is its incredibly thick, oppressive atmosphere. From the ashen skies and ruined cities to the constant, terrifying presence of Hunter-Killers, the world feels genuinely lethal and desperate. This is amplified by a stellar sound design where the distant, metallic stomp of a T-800 is enough to freeze your blood. The immersion is top-notch, making you feel not like a super-soldier, but like a scared survivor using stealth, scavenging, and makeshift weapons to live another day. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3539662685 The story, while simple, effectively captures the spirit of the human resistance, allowing you to build relationships with a cast of characters who feel like they've stepped right out of James Cameron's universe. https://youtu.be/gqRrd4_eWNU However, you must meet the game on its own terms. This is a AA experience with a modest budget clearly on display. The gunplay is functional but unremarkable, the character animations can be stiff, and the RPG systems are relatively light. It's a straightforward, linear adventure.
