My review will talk both about The Silver Case and The 25th ward, since i played through my friends library and can't post a review for each game individually. I preferably want you to experience the two games with near 0 prior knowledge. A Funfact, this game is a remake of the original since there's extra content added in Placebo and Correctness. So the 25th ward is- to but it lightly is a something contests of a lot of things like the type of game you would watch an analysis because you would have literally never grasped the meaning of it and that's like most if not all of Suda51 Directed Games. So as for a Visual Novel game the Visuals of the game is astonishing In TSC you get different themes for each episode and the over all Interface for that game is genuinely good. in 25th the backgrounds that actually move with Soundtrack, User interface is pretty minimalist and the 2D Illustrations got unified in Greyscale (some color appear), Correctness, Placebo And matchmaker have their own style of drawing. The novelty of this game is great you get to play from Three point of Views and are all amazing. As said i want you to play with near 0 prior knowledge especially since it's a VN, however it's a goichi suda game and i highly recommend watching an analysis video to help you at least connecting the dots and knowing the references (there's a lot of them). After playing the fact you play both games. See what i did there? I Said Visual Novel, talked the Visuals and then The Novel. I Rarely talk about music in but the composer committed Literal Arson, he went into the recording room and burnt everything down to ash. That Concludes is, Well about the game. You see The Silver case is what started the whole "Suda Verse" & "Kill the past", Kamui Uehera is an idea, an idea that doesn't die. Is it a treat that he appears in the other games, i mean you got NMH3 Kamui Uehera he's a friend of travis and that's like really doesn't make sense, like opposite of Kamui Urhera. I still got to play "Romeo is a dead man". Intact The Silver Case is suda's attempt to understand why would someone kill, DNA?, Childhood?, Tragic Events? And so on. Well that's what some stuff you get from research which i really love about his games, i said it before but I'll mention it again he's one of the most that makes me research after finishing his games. I wish to see "Flower, Sun and Rain" gets a port, well a remaster preferably. Anyway the Conclusion is the game gets a solid 51 out of 10. So You wanna kill the past? Lend Kasubi 50,000 Yen? Have 7 Killers? . ⚠️This is the spoiler part in my review ⚠️ It's genuinely funny that you get the shattering hammer of 4th wall breaking in the black out chapter and you get thrown with 100 Options well 101 because you will get and extra ending after viewing all of them. You see the after all of the after this insanity, you still haven't discovered why there was a guy controlling everyone like it's Sim City Building Nor we still don't know who is "Elbow" who got mentioned in TSC like well yeah it says "To Be Cotenuied...?" But how many years one will wait for it.

Ever since I played The Silver Case, its unique atmosphere and overall presentation of the story kept lingering in my mind, hence I was excited to finally continue with this game, which I really enjoyed for the most part! The aesthetics are great as always, I love how this game's style leans more towards pastel-colored UI designs in contrast with monochrome art. Additionally, I found the music and ambience wonderful and immersive. I also must say that the gameplay elements and pacing felt considerably less tedious compared to the prequel, yet could still feel somewhat frustrating and unnecessary occasionally. The most memorable part is certainly the writing; that combination of a linear plot revolving around an enclosed character cast and simultaneously being a commentary on various abstract and broad concepts didn't disappoint once again. I surprisingly managed to keep up with the story quite well at the beginning but sadly got completely lost eventually, however reading interpretations helped a lot (T-T). It's funny how despite mostly not being an emotionally-driven story, it still somehow managed to ruin me mentally lol. Something about the writing, even despite being filled with silly jokes and absurdity, truly got me; I like how the goofy aspects of it didn't even feel particularly immersion-breaking for the serious parts to me. Although it's unfortunate how easy it is to get lost in the plot, it's honestly a genius story that encompasses plenty of interesting and contemplative themes. I certainly lack the competence to fully grasp the story, however definitely adored the experience a lot, it felt very special!

I enjoyed it greatly. Happy it’s over, and I no longer want to play adventure games like it for the rest of my life. The Silver Case and Flower, Sun and Rain were wonderful but full of tedium as well. I think I just no longer have the patience to deal with that type of gameplay after this. I’d rather read a book or a regular VN to get my story fix. Don’t play if you can’t stand having your patience tested.

Suda, for the love of God finish the trilogy on steam and add Flower Sun and Rain. Now for the 25th ward review. The writing is great, art is top notch, although I miss the TSC art style a little more. Matchmaker was definitely the best part of the 25th ward, wish it was longer or expanded upon. Artstyle for all storylines are amazing, and the soundtrack is super catchy and sets tone very well.
