I played the original bards tale on a apple IIE and it was great. This bring me the nostalgia and in a modern platform story telling way. The turn based combat with the two sides having grids for positioning your party has a nice strategy to it. The abilities have been interesting with limited opportunity for your party each turn and the abilities having specific benefits based on the actions or positioning of the enemies. Great game so far that has not gotten repetitive after a few hours of play, but also I have gotten lost a few times wandering around just like I use to. I feel so far this game offers more.
