Feedback after 16 hours of gameplay: My friends and I have put around 16 hours into The Cabin Game (Twisted Corridor). The atmosphere and audio design are excellent, creating a strong sense of tension and immersion. The replayability is great, and we keep coming back to play together. As dedicated players, we’d like to offer 3 constructive suggestions for the developers: 1. Player Names on Cabin Chairs: Please consider displaying player names on the chairs in the Cabin. Right now, players have to spend time searching for their seats after every mini-game. Name tags would streamline the loop significantly. 2. Fix or Buff the "Junk Removal" Card: The "Junk Removal" card is meant to clear/empty closets, but it currently feels ineffective. Monsters can still locate or attack players hiding inside closets after using it. Please check if this is a collision/AI bug or consider reworking its function to make it useful. 3. Improve Lobby Decorations & Customization Impact: Spending earned rewards on cosmetics and lobby items is a great concept, but currently, lobby decorations are scarce and feel underutilized, leaving the lobby feeling empty. Furthermore, purchased items aren't visible during actual gameplay. Adding more decoration choices and giving cosmetics more visibility during games would make grinding for rewards much more satisfying. Great potential overall! Looking forward to future updates!
Take Blue Prince, Phasmophobia, a horror setting, add deck building, and a cabin builder game with mystery; you got this game. It's very surprising how strong a foundation that they have on their backs, and how plays it, it can almost have a endless amount of content that can be added. Very very fun and surprising how well it plays, minus a few bugs and glitches of course but that is as expected. If you like spooky with building a house with friends, would definitely recommend!
Very fun game! If you enjoy Phasmophobia, this game feels like a board game version of that. If you've ever played 'Betrayal at House on the Hill', it gives that vibe but as a Phas type game. Definitely enjoy it so far. A few issues that my friends and I have experienced: - can draw from others hands. if this is intended, it is incredibly buggy (if you play a card from a teammates hand, the cards move around the board and the next person to play cards is bugged) - monkey game cant throw popcorn except for host. exactly as described, only one person can throw popcorn typically. we have experienced this 5+ times. - leaving attic can cause player hands to bug out and make it unable to draw a card (this only happened once and it seemed to be due to the player 'disconnecting' from the ladder early and staying in the air) - can only play the card you draw (happened once or twice, i believe always after someone played from another players hand, but not immediately after) - crouching bugs out clown in the balloon game (as described, clown won't kill a crouched player sometimes, allowing other players to run around and pop all balloons with no risk as the clown is stuck on the 'dead' player who didn't actually die) - statue (knight game) can cause for pedestals to be placed around the map which allow you to get on top of unkillable places (like going on top of furniture)
It surprised me how solid this actually is. I mean the idea sounded interesting on paper, but piece by piece I started to feel like it would be a big miss. The lobby itself just looked like any other Phasmo-copy game you could think of, the default 90 FOV which also happens to be the highest you can go, doesn't even feel like it's 90, a little too choppy performance for my liking, lacking customisation and only a handful items to buy. Needless to say the 1st impression was a little lacking. Having actually played the game I have to say despite tripping at the starting lane, it managed to actually present a good and interesting idea for a game with really good map randomisation where you have to build it yourself on the go as you randomly receive new cards, which adds a whole new layer of planning as well because you need to think about giving yourself room to run away/hide and synchronise with cards that give you clues that appear in given rooms (always random also). Solid gameplay loop with the whole deck building basically, events and challenges. It's a very simple game in theory but it's actually really well thought-out, addicting and fun. I would love to see more subtle/creepy events, I'm talking about those little jump scare moments where this or that appears here and there to give you a fright. Something like a shadow visible in your peripheral vision or a pair of glowing eyes, or maybe a figure in the window, something like that. Generally, solid game and a cool idea. Playable in COOP as well as Solo. Still in early access as well, meaning it can only get better. Good luck to the dev(s), I'm looking forward to seeing this little gem grow and glow.
