Roccay's meticulously crafted and oppressive, otherworldly atmosphere appears to tell a tale of sacrifice, body horror, and the destruction of self in the pursuit of utopian ideals . Never has a game reduced to me to nervous shaking, jumping at shadows, and tearing up so quickly. Outside of episodes like panic attacks, this may be the closest I've ever come to experiencing a waking nightmare. Everything feels so upsettingly "off", but always in careful, meaningful ways - even if those meanings take repeated playthroughs to thoroughly dissect. I can see the surreal narrative and sometimes punishing action-puzzle segments turning away some players, but if you're a suitable host, this game will violently, inseparably worm its way into your skull. If you enjoyed the vibe of Baroque, Hylics, and/or Jeff Vandermeer's Southern Reach book trilogy, definitely give this a try.

So dark and deep and discomfiting - the story is very interesting and well written, and the music and style are so good and unnerving. Overall such a well put together indie game with a lot of style, and they listen to their community a lot, having released so many little bug fixes over the last week which is great. A quick play with some unique ideas for a point and click, and definitely mysterious enough to be replayable - still need to find some of the secrets!

I absolutely hate puzzle games, point and click adventures and anything of the sort, however this game is an absolute exception. Beautiful art, incredibly intriguing narrative and story, puzzles are not annoyingly difficult or obscure. Please do not be put off by the horror tag either, all of the horror elements are not undignified, they needed for the story to be as intriguing as it is. This is my first and most likely last review ever, which goes to show how worth while this game is.
