I bought this purely because the dev posted a wholesome video excited that it sold 10k in the first month on tiktok & Solo indie devs are incredible & I wanted to support. Then I played over an hour and it is so cute and fun!!! get it for sure. it is mislabeled as an idle game tho, you need to participate
A short and sweet incremental game made by one person. Please support indie developers if you have the chance because without them, the gaming space would be bland, linear and full of corporate cash grabs. That said, I'll be unbiased in this review. It's a fine game, you control a rain cloud and drop water pellets on top of grassy field to rinse them of ash. While doing this, you have a chance to uncover things like plants, machines and animals to help you gain the different currencies that are used to unlock abilities on your skill tree. The gameplay is simple and there isn't much of a story but the message is wholesome and the upgrades are impactful. It's a unique concept and the magnitude of progression between upgrades keeps the game fresh enough to 100% it without feeling stale. I personally 100%'d the game in 2.7 hours so it's hard to justify the $5 price tag if you equate 1$ - 1 hour of playtime... but it's also only $5. The two negatives I have is that I encountered some game crashes while going over my options in the upgrade tree. I assume these will be patched out pretty quickly since the game is brand new. The other negative I have is that the boss level felt a little too grindy for my liking. I think I had to replay it 6 or 7 (please no) times before I finally had the necessary upgrades to beat it. All in all, I'd recommend this game, it's very pleasant and pretty fun if you're into this genre.
I will be honest. I only got this game because I saw the developer on TikTok and thought I'd help a guy out. But, once I started playing it I couldn't stop. It's a fun little addictive game! I very much enjoyed it. Challenging enough to keep you engaged, but not so much that it's not relaxing for lack of better word. If he adds to this little gem, I'm totally in!
